I noticed the rabbit wire cages around the plants. Do you have varmints? I had to do the same thing years ago. but the neighborhood fox had rabbit dinner and cleaned out the rabbits.

Eager to follow their progress in flowering!

Thanks so much, dubi! I was out in the mountains for a while with base camp about 3,400 meters (just above 11,000 feet). Of course my drip timed water I hooked up before I left didn’t work, so the dry fertilizer I put into the potted plants didn’t incorporate and things got a little crispy and browned out. Still, it could be worse. I did pick a few worms off the potted plants today. Seems like the BT I sprayed before I left slowed them down but there were a few brown bud chunks I’ll need to clean up.

This should be the first plant harvested in the next day or two. Cindy 99 feminized from old kind of mystery Gypsy Nirvana stock. These seeds were probably close to 12-15 years old.

It’s definitely seeming like some legit Cindy genes. I had forced her to hold off on flower for a few weeks, so she is finishing quite quickly. If you look, you’ll see a worm that’s now a stain on my finger tips. She’s got a strong grapefruit and skunk/musk aroma which seems about right for the strain. I’ll be chopping her this coming week. She got hit with Sour Diesel IBL earlier this year so the few seeds I find on her will be from that cross. Should make for a strong citric, skunk, funk cross.

I’ve got a lot of pics to take on the potted, but was in a hurry, so here’s a few more.

She’s a very pretty little plant. A bit squat with not the greatest calyx to leaf, but I’ll be interested how she finishes over the next couple of weeks.

Speaking of OTH and hybrids dubi, 2021 is going to be a very productive year for exploring all the goodness in OTH. Remember the 3F x 6M. I had said of the last three seeds, give me two females and a male. Originally thought they were all female but right before my backpacking trip a few weeks ago, I got a sense one was actually a male.

Sure enough, my wishes came true. All the OTH ended up being pretty small and stringy, but that’s ok. He’s (#1) just started spreading some pollen, so I’m going to let him just dust everything in the potted plants. Most are finishing with the Sour Diesel pollen, but I will happily create some pseudo F2’s from that old OTH pairing. I cut most of the male sacs off to keep the pollen count low, but I will collect some pollen and hit the other female OTH in the grove. Depending how the male goes, I may even clone to hold onto that male OTH magic. Non glandular trichomes, but seems to be plenty of them.

Seems I spaced on taking photos of the small female (#2) right next to her. Here is (#3) in the grove.

So excited to see this particular selection showing strong and likely able to reproduce for more investigation down the road.

How about the OTH hybrids? Here’s my cross with the old OTH male and the Zacateca’s Tribute.

The ZT is very strong in this cross. She’s not as fast as pure ZT, but it looks like she should be ready in the next couple of weeks. maybe she makes it all the way to Halloween before the chop.

The Super Malawi Haze is very small given I had to re-clone and put her back in the ground very late.

I really like this one. Looks kind of wild/ not quite tamed. I’ll be hitting some of the grove stock with that male OTH 3F x 6M

Sad to be back in the real world with work, but glad to be back in the presence of my children (biological and otherwise). I’ve also got a new phone to play around with, so let’s have some fun.

I’m pretty excited about this cross. The aroma carries the ZT. kind of incensed pine…but the OTH adds a little of that electric, dare I say metal’esque. If she finishes by getting dense like I think she will, the yield should be very high.
