RO water 0 EC.. Need to replace filters?

I started a thread a few weeks ago about my old RO unit that hastn't been used in about three years.

I was recommended to replace the filters, but as i'm on a complete budget for starting up my personal grow, I spent the $22.50 on ducting instead of the filters because temps are more important I think.

I tried the RO out anyways and its 0 EC.

The waste water is 4-6 EC and the incoming water is 4 EC.. This looks good right? I probably dont need to replace anything?

I'm going to ph it once I calibrate my ph pen. I only have the 4.01 solution and my pen read 3.8 on that..

The ph of my tap without calibration is 8.0 and after filtration is 8.5.. hmm lol

Freezerboy, I think he meant the water going into the filter is 4ec and coming out it is 0ec. The waste water is 4-6ec.

Sorry my bad, I meant .4 and all the numbers should be .4. It's been two years since I've used this and accidentally read the CF side.
And the .4 is the incoming, 0 is the filtered water, and .4-.6 is the waste water.

So thats good right? Or can the filter be leaching something into the water? I ran it for about an hour, give or take a few minutes. Water tested the same throughout the whole hour. Membrane pressured up to the perfect psi.. I think its fine. I dont know about filters and their ability to release stuff back into the water.. But I would test it right? I just so I'm probably over thinking this.

I would trust your meter. If it is 0 ec then it is fine. I woulnd't worry about it. I get my water at walmart from the culligan machine and it is 0 ec and 7 ph.
