...At least we were around to see the best of the best...It was a period of great creativity...
Yes, in my circle we say that we are/were lucky to have lived in an era of music that will probably never happen again.

I saw Joe numerous times, each show was incredible. One show I went to was at a small outdoor venue and after the opening act the rain just started to come down. It poured and poured but nobody left. The stage was wet and the organizers were hoping the weather would break and they could get the show on but it never happened. After a few hours they called it off and said all tickets would be refunded.

Most of the people attending said it was one of the best times they ever had…even though Joe never preformed. Everyone was just having a good time and hoping to see him (a shame for those that never were able). A tribute to the artist by the fans he attracted. To this day we still joke about the best Joe Cocker concert we didn’t see.

oh, shit...there's goes another part of my...soul

with ya pinball.. wanted to see him one more time (like the who) beofre he/they/I died... missed Joe...

Since he is off my list lets see whats left... Oh yeah, Bob Segar, and will be seeing the pink floyd experience somewhere here in the u.s next year. After that, I can croak peacefully.

But if I dont.... would like to see Petty and Clapton duel it up with Winwood one more time along with my man Walsh on a solo gig.

Not many of the greats left... Not many greats on the radio or nor will there be ever again..

RIP Joe.. who can ever forget circa 78 ? Saturday night live with
him and belushi doing a duet...

Classic great shit right there.. RIP Mr Cocker.. Im Feelin Allright:tiphat:
