Sorry. Maybe you should try brass instead of glass. I like the protopipe. It has a tube to store some weed, a poker, built in screen, and a trap to catch resin. It comes completely apart. I saw one place around my town that had these for about $30. An old fashioned favorite.

:badday: So sorry to hear that POMH :badday:

Just remember the good times you two had together... glass bowls are like sunsets, each spectacularly beautiful and uniquely original, yet never permanent.

I love Protopipes! I have ownrd 3 in my day. 1 was stolen and 1 I still have. The 2nd one was about a week old when it fell from my shirt pocket while gaffing a shark about 70 miles offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. I saw my pipe do a bottom bound spiral for a few seconds before she slipped outta sight forever. :badday:

I keep my glass pipes in padded pouches. When I take 'em out, I'm extremely careful with 'em. I broke about four pieces last year! :( Since I got padded pouches, I haven't broken a single piece.

The loss of a piece is like losing a friend. I broke my first glass pipe about two months ago. I've had that thing since I was 15, it literally is the oldest thing from my so called "childhood" that I own. For that reason I still haven't thrown it out...I haven't finished mourning yet.

There's definately nothing like a fine piece of glassware for smoking, although I am quite the joint fan as well. Sorry to hear about everyone's lost pieces. I lost my first glass piece (a nice little simple blue and black pipe that I purchased from a friend for $20) about 4 months ago, as many times as I thought it was going to get broken, it actually ended up becoming evidence, but either way, losing one's glass is always a bit depressing.
