I know what u mean ..... a month ago I had no problems seeing her go both ways - not on command, but still very regularly, as if my brain was switching from left to right every half minute or so. But tonight I've ONLY been able to see her go clockwise, and I can only put that down to either my alcohol intoxication or my tiredness.

Im on ircmag chat at the moment and one bloke there named cocktail_frank is actually able to get her to change direction on command every half turn, as if being able to switch from left to right brain on command..... his suggestion: "stare at the shadow of her legs, when her legs come together, you can change the direction easier"

damnit, it's my thread so why can't I !?!?!?

All jokes aside tho I find it very interesting that you and cocktail_frank have been able to essentially 'train your brain' to be able to turn her either direction on command ..... and you said it took you 5 minutes to get to that stage ..... maybe it's something that can be learnt and improved like any other skill?

by doing that I too can easily control which direction she spins

Boxy Brown,
Interesting that you mentioned "could be connected to me being ambidextrous", and Insomniac said "Right brained! Left handed. I'm fairly certain most people's brains are opposite of what their dominant hand is."

I have no idea what relation there is between left-hand/right-hand dominance and left-brain/right-brain dominance but it wouldnt surprise me if there was a link

It could be a relationship between which hand is dominate or just a completely random thing, that or maybe IQ has something do do with it.

I too am left-handed and saw it clockwise first. I first saw this picture 5-6 years ago on another forum or website or some such. I was not aware until this thread that the initial spin was dependant on brain dominance.

As to making it switch directions. Concentrate on the shadow of her foot. You will notice that since it is actually a reflection of her foot and not a shadow the relative position of the foot is introverted to the actual position. Using that reflection you can alter your perception to dictate the axis of the womans spin.

Depending on if you place the axis along her toes then she spins one direction. But if you place the axis along the heel of her foot she spins the opposite direction.

Ok, took me about 20 minutes to finally see it going counter clockwise, but I think I have it figured out. Cover her body up with your hand and just focus on the feet. Pick whichever way you want her to spin and focus on her spinning that direction. Slowly move your hand up and youll be able to see it both ways.

I found it easy to change her direction when I concentrated only on her feet. Then I could scroll up and see her whole body in a different direction.

Friend showed me this recently and he said that the image really just goes left and right continuously. I see it clockwise almost all the time and the first time i seen the image it truly disturbed me to the point where i couldn't look at it for longer than a second or so :biglaugh: I wonder what's goin on in my head

Yes, if you look at the individual frames you'll see that she is actually spinning clockwise
