Ridiculously low yield, what the hell happened?

Don't feel bad about pulling over 1 and a quarter ounces per plant with 2 weeks veg! that fine if the quality is good! I know 0.25 per watt doesn't sound impressive but g/w is meaningless at best and misleading at worst - Calculate your Grams per kW/hour and you might have done better than the cabinet grow...remeber vegging uses 50% to 100% more energy than flowering so you need to pull more ounces to justify long vegging...but you did fine imo I aim for about that but with them far more densely planted...

la confidantal is not a great yeilder, and also is a slow veg er...so that is why .....meds are top notch though.....

Could be a good idea to dedicate a 3rd of your space to constant vegging. This way you can veg indicas in soil for as long as you need to it also means you can use clones for even shorter vegging times.

Sat doms and hydro you can get away with 2-3 weeks vegging but for big plants you need big roots.

Best of luck for the next one.

Thank you so much for the help guys. I see now that LA needs much longer veg time, as it doesnt really stretch at all during the flip. Im going to do another grow, this time with my chocolate chunk mom as the sole clone provider.

I guess 3 zips off that one LA plant isnt bad considering. Its just all those little one gallons, as someone mentioned. Meds are CHRONIC though, I'm still keeping her.

P.S. Here are some pics of the 5 zips off a 250 in a cab.

what does your ventilation look like? I have seen plants stop growing due to a lack of co2 in the air. another thing that will cause slow or no growth at all is temperature. if it falls below 60f-65f, often times herb will stop growing.

Id say heat and ventilation, IVe used 3 x 1000 watters before and changed to 600 watters and yielded about 25% more, it was a heat issue

Also if I count right Inject you have 30 plants under 1000w, that seems like a lot of plants. In 3 to 5 gal pots I grow max. 12 plants per 1000w. To get light to all of yours you must be a bit above them? What size is your flower room? Curious to know what your room temps are also. NS

Well, I had sort of a stadium effect, with larger 3 and 5 gallons on the outside, with about 15 one gallons in the middle,

Temps are pretty perfect, 72-78 in the day, maybe 60-65 at night

Maybe next time you wanna try vegging everything in 1 gallon till their a bit bound up, and then give your sativas the 5's and Indicas 3 gallons for flowering.
The one thing I can say about yield, that I've learned through experience (good, bad AND ugly) is that it's entirely correlated to root health and mass. I personally think that people often overlook the importance of roots,(I always did) and end up spending a ton of money, when their 'limiting factor' is a root related issue.
I'm just sayin'; figuring out the dynamics of a healthy root structure and optimal uptake levels/times etc. has been the single most valuable peice of my efficiency puzzle! Good Luck with your next run. Those numbers arent horrible anyways so I'm sure you'll be pullin some serious digits, with the added experience!

Yeah I was hoping to get a 4oz's out my cab. I'm growing with 6 42watt cfls. I'll be lucky to pull off 2 oz's. I vegged for 2 months and plan on flowering for 3-4months. Depending on the dominate of the plant. I'm on week 5 almost be 6 weeks. The buds don't look that big either. There are a couple that are filling in though. :)

You're gonna flower for 3-4 months? :nono: That's a little much, dont ya think?

If your growing w cfls, you should look into flowering indica cuts at like 6" and keeping a mom or two. That way you can maximize your watts/yield. Find a quick strain, like less than two months, and you COULD pump out ALOT more smoke :lurk:

Good Luck

Well I just got some dominate Indica strains like Ozzy, Bubba Chunk, Sweet Edd,
Purple K Krowberry x Querkle, and also Querkle. I might order some more beans. :)

InjectTruth, update dude, how they doin? Curious to see how it's goin. You are using a 1000 w hid aren't you? Your temps sound great, just like my garden 365 days a year. Winter indoor growing season is nice, easy to keep things cool. Here's my stadium effect, tall on the sides and short down the middle.

I agree with Stoned Cold, what he said, roots!
