damn, that would be a huge bummer if rick got busted. he has done so much to help people and all pretty much free of charge. he is definatly not a criminal. i wish our government would get over cannabis use. really? in the grand scheme of things and with everything that is going on (the shit storm america is in, i could elaborate but thats for a different thread. and the economy in canada) that is what they are concerned with? rick simpson out there saving lives and they want to talk to him? seems iffy. he is an approved canadian medical user correct? i guess they could get him for distribution. rick simpson oil is nothing new, just a potent fully decarbed alcholol extracted cannabis oil. people have been making that for hundreds if not thousands of years. he just brought up the fact that it cures some cancers and is an all around health tonic that can treat and alot of the time cure hundreds of other conditions. he himself called it hemp oil originally, then pheonix tears, etc. regaurdless its a grat panacea of sorts (still havent found a true cure all but cannabis is the closest plant/chemical compounds/ drug to a panacea.

and that rick simpson quote is a really thought out & sound statement from rick. couldnt agree with him more. we need more people like him in the workd. especially in the us.

Thanks Lyryc.

Valuable post!
Cheerleader posts are uplifting, but these kinds of posts are of more value.
Got any more?

I feel for that guy.
He's showing remarkable restraint all things considered.

There is more than one kind of pancreatic cancer.
Indeed, cancer has hundreds of different forms and flavors.

Happily it is effective for my "brand" of prostate cancer.
Not as effective as it is for others, but a slowed doubling rate is good enough.
And individuals are, well, individual.
Some folks have remarkable remissions, some do not.
Just got back from Alan Park's videos on his prostate cancer remission.

Cheered me up immensely.

What really needs to happen is a push from the masses, at least here in the US to get marijuana rescheduled from a schedule I drug to at least a Schedule II or Preferably a schedule III , IV or V drug. Being schedule I means that:

(A) The drug or other substance has a high potential for abuse.

(B) The drug or other substance has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States.

(C) There is a lack of accepted safety for use of the drug or other substance under medical supervision.

Such a status pretty much prevents necessary research from taking place to establish what it can treat and how best to go about treatment. Why should the government grant money for such research if it believes that marijuana has no medical value? That essentially is what has kept serious and unbiased research from being funded. As such we are left with countless cases of anecdotal evidence which while better then nothing is not a smart way to approach medical treatment.

With more and more States coming on board with medical marijuana rescheduling is the next logical step. Although really it baffles me that marijuana is viewed by the Federal Government as having no medical value since there is a Federal Medical Marijuana Program that has been running since the mid 70's and still has 4 active patients being supplied by the Feds as of April of this year.
