Rhodelization of Autos?

Bottom line? You're going to have significantly quicker results with STS or CS reversals. Seriously... no matter what line you flower out you're looking for rare plants. That could take quite a bit of time and seeds.

With STS or CS, you have nearly a 50/50 chance of getting a female to reverse from regular seeds. :tiphat:

I agree, get some regular autos (afterthought autos are regs) and just start with normal breeding. Males show up quickly and dont take up too much room. Or make up some CS/STS and make some fems is quicker and less expensive.

Yea, i think DC and Reiko have valid point; No matter if you choose to start your project with Fem seeds or Regulars, i think it would be better to buy sexually stable genetics (are there any these days, lol??) to start with, and then use STS or CS to turn the female(s), rather than to use STRESS to make the girls produce pollen.

Simply get fems if need be, of the mums you want to use, get regs of lowryder 2 or another auto strain then cross them.

From my limited understanding of Mendelian genetics that won't produce true breeding autos. The desired strain (PP) & the Lowryder 2 (pp) will produce photodependant heterogeneous autos (Pp) you gotta then breed them together and keep the true breeding autos (Pp x Pp = PP, Pp, pP & pp) and I believe you can let the still photodependant ones breed again and you'll get some more true breeding autos (PP x Pp x Pp = PP, Pp, pP & pp)...at which point you could start pheno hunting.

The F1 generation with no autos seems pretty great for pheno hunting, since all the plants are Pp, you get to ignore the "does it autoflower" question and you can use the seeds off all your favorite females in the generation. In the F2 generation is where you get the perfect plant in every category except it doesn't autoflower and you start doing the "why me" stuff and wondering what sins you've committed in the past that brought a curse on you.

Lol, true, but you could be giving up on some rare hidden gems by giving up on a line before it reaches F2...as opposed to just dealing with the why me factor as a fact-of-life.
