After a cool 9 years of developing advanced chemistry on the lab side of the industry, im back in the garden.
I have been putting feelers out, collecting most of my old gear back, as well as going on an absolute bender to find EVERYTHING.
Im setting out to preserve the legendary CA clone only varieties we all grew up on into s1's , as well as hunt down old mexican, columbina, afghan lines present in old brick weed.
I made a post on instagram asking for any old seeds, film containers, pre 2000
and the response i got was overwhelming.
from , people finding 20 year old bags of seed in a storage container (with pics and proof)
to someones dad keeping 2000+ seeds in a vinegar bottle from the 70s, growing them occasionally, with pictures and all the proof.
I probably have 4-5 different sources of verified mexican swagg/ pre seed bank sativas and what look to be unmistakable afghan beans in the lot.
Im going to document EVERYTHING and pop EVERY seed, get them big enough to take two cuts and flip and i will be asking for help in identifying, and if youre down to smoke one in LA, letting everyone try so we can all take part in preserving history.
part 2 of the project.... kind of stumbled into this next bit.
to the old manager of nirvana from 1998-2001 seeing my post and offering up nirvanas breeding stock of that time
supposedly nirvana was scared about the g13 being gov weed and they didnt want to release, so all of these g13 lines are unworked and just have been sitting for 25 years.
On top of that,
i just popped 10 skunk1 , 10 nl2, 10 purest indica, and 10 original haze (AG seed co)
the lonely survivor,, the only 1 of 12 to pop from 1996 sensi seeds early pearl that almost died in happy frog from being nutrient sensitive...
it appears to be going into flower on its own under 18/6 after two weeks of being alive from seed.
it took off from seed and then burnt itself
Aside from all of the seeds ,
It has come to my attention that @premiersd is offering his massive list of clone only genetics up for grabs for a decently hefty price tag.
Im trying to put together a group buy situation where we can get all 40 and take straight to tissue culture vault to preserve these heirlooms.

Ideally, it would be great to tissue culture all the classics, as well as make s1 seed stock of each.
maybe take some of those old males back to modern plants to get back some vigor and stank?
there has to be a future without gelato right?

i will be posting a lot of pictures here, and if anyone wants pollen, or any of the plants just chime in, its open for everyone.
If any established breeders, would like any of those lines, i was told i can share openly in the name of preservation, just dont be greedy if you find something good!
Im going to need all the old heads in here to give their expert opinions on some of these lines as, i was 15 when these seeds dropped. I know a lot of the history from growing up in Garberville but still, if you have knowledge that you cant get in college regarding any of this gear.. please leave it in the comments!
