Zamal GN Collection female from an original frozen pack keeps branching!

I can see lots of pistils already so I'm afraid it may be starting to autoflower like the renowned Gerrit's cut! Some autoflowering males were already discarded from F3 seeds. Damn it's going to be hard to work with this line.

Branching speed is crazy! I'm trying to root some lower snips. Smell is getting interesting already.

Holy shit! Mustafunk again with the goodies!

I must say though that it breaks my heart to hear about the discarded autoflower males, I'd love to have some of those to work with! One man's trash is another man's treasure as they say.

Can I ask why the auto-phobia? Can't you just maintain the line as it is in seed form? It's not like they're hermies or anything, just special in their own way. Do you have stable males to go about?

Sorry bro, they were both hermie and autoflowering apparently so it was a no-no situation lol. My friend tossed them from the indoor garden anyway, in my case I would have loved to keep them around just for curiosity. Auto-zamal sounds fun at least, but anyway no dramas because they weren't from the original P1s but later reproductions.

Only 3 seeds sprouted from the original pack, so we are using some F3s and F5s as a background. No firm males so far and I'm afraid they will be hard to find. Other members from the collective have never found a single one in more than 7 years growing the strain! So intersex males were used everytime, that's why it became worst with the time I guess but decent females still appear sometimes though lol.

That's why I'm more inclined to keep a good female, hopefully similar or better than Gerrit's renowned cut and outcross the line to another Reunion, Mauritius or different landrace to keep working on it in the future. Conservation was done in the past in pure form already so now I'm looking more for an improvement rather than a preservation.

your pure look different from zamaldelica by leaf shape, tiny are both:)

Hallo bro! Those Gambia/Senegal look nice! Yeah I see but I don't really know the reason for those 3finger leaves, it could be just a phenotype or maybe those look a bit more like the Malawi used in the old Golden Tiger F1? Here as grown by my fella Pebble in 2008, when he did all the Meao Thai crosses:

Here's another Oaxacan descendant with a very similar 3-blade leaves in flowering.
Nirvana's Eldorado grown by a friend several years ago. The funny thing is that this plant was perfectly normal with one exception - it didn't have one single trichome in its life! No trichomes, no smell, no high. The most evil mutation ever observed :)

Did you try to sprout Laos genetics??

yes, tried to germ all, got 0%. sorry did my best

mustafunk bro, maybe its just different stages of maturity, found this older pic of it, where it looked more 'normal' than now ...
anyways, i hope your run goes well, would be intresting to see a clone of your plant later when its more mature, best next year od:)

I had a Golden Tiger (Malawi x Meao Thai) from ACE that auto-flowered in my small pot. I believe I had heard that Thai 82 sometimes auto-flowers. It appears this trait is not limited to Zamal or roadside ditch-weed of the northern climes.

.. than I employed the bottom part of a plastic milk bottle as base.. and a opaque wool shoes bag to accurately cover the new assembled pot..:

..last step was cover all the modular pot (I use do this to be able to inspect the roots..) with a white opaque plastic film to have a better capacity to reflect sun lights and prevent heat shoot in the pot..

.. than back in the green house
