Kaiki, is this Dorada de Sinaloa related to the Jarilla de Sinaloa? Thanks for sharing all the photos.

Aparently not, we have been looking for and growing seeds from different local farmers and each one grows basically his own seed stock or trade to anothers for seedsto be grown. This line comes directly from the sierra madre and señor used to grow this line himself for long. Sooo many different seeds around from local lines, growers and smokers. Wish times go better in future for them to grow them back when things calm down a bit over there cause the research is being kinda accidental all way long

I take it most of these sativas are grown indoors? The only sativa's I've seen growing were outdoors in Viet Nam. These look more like the sativa's hybrids I've grown indoors. But they're pretty. I've got some BOG's LSD started 3 weeks ago. Got 6 of 9 that popped.

Lovely senegalese! This line has huge breeding potential, quite fast flowering with dense flowers for a pure sativa, very strong effect, sour sweet aromas, i love it overall. The line is not consistant yet and sometimes shows hermie traits but hope we find the time for a future reproduction and release.

^ dubi's note post #5

looks like terpene's are different between ghana and senegalese, but as dubi notes no consistency ( lots of variation/phenos?).

Idiit,

Nice post. Thanks for the quick geography lesson and strain comparison. You saved me from having to Google it myself. Did you grow the Ghana in that picture?

I'd love to read a detailed description of the effects from you for the Ghana, and from Carchofa for the Senegal.

Thanks in Advance,

ThaiBliss

Hi idilit :tiphat:
This it's the first time that I have the pleasure to grow a pure sativa bred by LMN. He did a great job!!
Senegalese pure sativa is a line like liamba (angola) which he shared with his good friends. And this year a great person shared them with me :thank you:
I'm so happy to have the opportunity to contribute in breeding this strains before we lose them.
It is so vigorous, resinous and she has a delicious smell.

hi
Nice grows amigos
I know about one senegalese line only gifted by a common friend years ago. Prone to hermis, it grew like an indica almost. Its what Southernmeds talks about. I think LMN had this but other senegalese line too but I dont know, he liked more african when we first met in late 90's.

:tiphat: Hello charlie thanks for your reply. You know him better than me, unfortunately I only had the opportunity to exchange some words here, I wished I could learn more about LMN.

My friend told me that this line comes from 1985 and it is called "Senegal Black" and they reproduce it without any problem of hermaphroditism even in indoors (you know that pure sativas usually are really difficult to acclimate to indoors).
My experience growing it is that senegalese grows so fast (I had to trim and bend the branches few times). However, they are quite fast sativas as is the Angola for example, I don't know if all the african sativas are like them but it's really interesting because there are a lot of places where the winter is very cold.

I'm eager to taste the senegalese :yummy:

still going

still going

I haven't grown a sativa dom plant in a long time. I forgot how long they take but it is exciting to see the buds getting thicker.
The weather for Puna has been great rain every night, no need water, and sunny all day with a few rainy days. No rot, the plant loves it.

nice rondelia.i used to grow&smoke a lot of albanian stuff before we went to EU.now we cant get any from down there becouse of stupid schengen border.lazarat is still main capitol of balcan ganja export, but smugglers using different roads to reach euro market,so we didnt tryed any of these stuff for a long time.
Would love to get that oldschool trippy albanian weed again. It has the worst taste, but high was so strong that beats 90% of modern hybrids.

I also heard that one albanian village produced from 800 to 900 tons of weed this year. We smoked a lot of ganja from Albania maybe until 8 years ago. Weed was poorly dried, seeded, moldy and bad smelling ološ (crap). We used to ask diler if he has good ganja (vutra) or šiptarsko vutro. But albanka was not expensive so we smoked at least 1kg/year per capita :)
Times have changed so I smoke only quality sativas :)
