hi bushweed! could you tell me a bit about your hawaiian? i have a pure hawaiian strain too that i collected and grew out for several years. the seeds produced a variety of phenos, though the seeds from each pheno looked remarkably similar, which i found interesting. the plants i had ranged from completely tropical christmas tree sativas that smelled like cherry fruit punch, to greasy hashplant-type indica dom plants that smelled of heavy astringent pine.Pure Hawaiian
hi bushweed! could you tell me a bit about your hawaiian?
thanks for the rep RP... i'm sure my hawaiian strain is a polyhybrid. i should clarify that the indica type plants are still quite tall and late flowering, but they have that very greasy and pine-scented resin that i associate with hash making plants. the most common expression of this strain is a stoutly structured sativa dom plant with heavily serrated leaves that looks similar to the one that kangativa posted. the smell is very unique and more or less heavenly: tropical, musky, astringent. i've also encountered the tall christmas-tree sativa pheno that smells like fruit punch bubble gum and is very, very clean. the most unique plant from this line was a very asymmetrical, lanky plant with very few leaves in veg. i thought it would yield nothing, but it exploded in flowering and came away with huge leafy colas that tasted of spicy lemon - this single plant had the best buzz of any of them. i made many seeds of this strain as well. the seeds are light grey, thick-shelled and somewhat angular. anyone with an interest in this strain, please let me know. i believe it to be a complex hybrid of strains that have been around the islands for a long time...
ps - the dry shift from this strain is wonderful!!! the tastes and effects are just amazing.
