Back again lookin' n lustin'. Nice stuff! I'm still curious as to what you folks would recommend for outdoors at 47 deg N lat. up at 7500 ft elev. In the meantime I'm indoors for the winter, playing with Mex bagweed. Here's what I'm finding. Any ideas what I've got?

@ raco. haze x deep chunk must be amazing grass. Super jealous.

@no beard. I always like to see mexi brick bagseed. Its what I began growing with. Have you run that strain before? They look great and are coming along nicely. Keep us posted, especially when they are close to finished.

About strain recommendations, there are so many out there it can be really hard to guess what will work in another persons area, its usually a trial and error thing.

That used to be one of the great things about growing bagseed. You planted the seeds from all the good bags you got that year, crossed what grew well in your area together and ended up with locally suited genes. Hardly anyone does that anymore, its pretty much all dutch stock these days.

hi motaco - have you looked over at the highland oaxacan gold thread lately or at rc colas projects with oaxacan seeds that he is collecting. your input would be appreciated, for sure!

also, i remember you writing about molokai frost in some past posts. i have four seeds of the mk from a friend out there. any idea of what to expect?

i'm always interested in the bagseed as well. i had one very incense tasing, super-thin leaved bagseed plant that i harvested early one year way-back-when before i knew any better. the stringy immature stems and flowers from that plant were simply amazing: a soaring, subtle high that lasted for hours coming on in waves. the seed was small and dark.

@ raco, ahh, thats what I meant. I knew those chunky nugs wouldn't be a haze female, but that haze male must have bred even more depth to the stone. I didn't get much of it, I had some overwatering problems, but when I grew Deep Chunk it was one of my top favorites. So spicy and such a complex stone. Top tier grass to be sure, even more so with some haze in there I'm sure. :canabis:

Hopefully one day I can take you up on that offer. Thats one thing I miss about growing grass. I still see some great cali med bud, but not exactly deep chunk and things of that nature. Top tier growers stash right there. :smoke:

@body mind. No I hadn't seen the oaxaca thread in a while. I'll have to go look for it, thanks for the heads up. If you're growing Molly Frost you can expect a lot of envy from me.:biglaugh: It not particularly stable, so I hope you get a good pheno, but there is some great grass in there. Some are also tremendous yielders, but I only had two females. A sativa pheno that didn't make much resin but had an equally strong stone, and the other had a bit of indica in it but didn't make the stone heavy. My old grow partner (we're still buddies) still talks about that stuff routinely and we grew it around '04. He always called it his favorite grass. Its up there on my list too.

It's been a long time since I smoked it but I remember it smelling like some sort of tropical fruit smelling bubblegum. Smoked SUPER smooth and tasty. Barely needed a cure at all. Had good resin production, and I took it about 70 days flower I think. The stone was up and mellow.

Some folks didn't like it as much as we did, but its not meant to be an overwhelming experience. It's a light happy strain that is good daytime weed. Fun with friends, or outdoor activities. Not a before bed smoke, or for watching movies. Best of luck with her. Treat her right.

Here's the baby from the previous NYCD to a Mexican Sativa. It's smelled just like mom but bulked up a lot more when she was done:

motaco: Just wanted to say thank you. I have lots of the "ultimate sativa" threads cut paste and printed out from this version, but I remember the old one too. Never got to thank you for bringing this back up. It's always fun to see this thread back at the top!

Peace.

Colombian black and gold

Colombian black and gold

Hello Friends, I have been lurking and drooling and learning over here.
I have 2 Colombian Blacks and 1 Colombian Gold in flower. 1st run with these...My location isn't the greatest for sun and these look like they have a few weeks. I did pollenate these by hand and will probably do an open dusting in a tent with clones using my #6 black at the controls after I take backups.
Any comments and feedback is greatly appreciated
