quick question. do street lights in urban areas affect the flowering of sats in a city enviroment? i was curious becasue i kn ow light leakage is a pretty big deal.
Hi Jonnygotah, The street lamps breaking the night length will affect your Sat's if the light is direct enough, bright enough and is regular. 2or3 nites messed up could lead to a revert back to veg or Hermi prob's if ya not careful.
Mooonlight doesn't affect it obviously but a streetlamp of 70w a few metres away would probably be enough to Fook Sheet up 4 u! I hope thats a help/ JBo

Is there anything wrong with buying like a pound of Mexican Brick and making hash from it? I am moving down south and I hear there are times that that is all there is to be found. I dont want to sound stupid, but I have only made hash with good stuff. Does making hash out of shit weed mean shit hash or just less of it?

Heh,welcome to the south. The only thing I see wrong with your plan is using the mexi brick. Many, many crushed trichs.Makes the herb gummy, hard to roll, much less rub. Most of what I get only smokes properly in a bowl.Better you should grow out seeds from several different varieties of mexi.Use the non-compressed buds to make hash from. The hybrids we have coming in now are starting to produce much more trichs than we used to see in the very recent past.I've smoked from one good run of hash made from fresh grown mexi and it was on an even par with the last Blonde Lebanese I had.Awesome.2-3 tokes will last all day and into the night.

But don't knock the mexi brick untill you've found a good supplier with discriminating taste.Just because it is Mexi-Brick doesn't mean it's shit weed. That's a throw-back from the seventies Columbian invasion.( Which I still remember fondly )Herb from fantastic genetics can suck if improperly grown and cured.Mexico has some of the greatest genetics on earth.

We get some world class Mexi here in the southeast, sometimes 2-toke.Make you wish you hadn't of taken that third toke. :smoke: Just sometimes you have to grow it out yourself and jar cure it to know exactly what you have. Most Mexi brickweed is twice better when we properly grow and cure it than it was when we bought it.
Peace

Hey guys!!!

I have another Mr Nice SuperSilverHaze grow going. I have 3 girls this time and a male for seeds.

The plant pictured below is my "Freak girl". She is SSH2 and is about a week older and week ahead in flower from her two sisters. She is freaky(to me anyway) because she has this "syndrome" where her new growth during flowering has always been this sorta mottled or varigated green, and it's a paler shade of green from her sisters...and from my previous SSH plant.

She is also a really lanky, thin stemmed plant compared to the others. And her fan leaves are WAY thinner. Look at the last picture. The blades on the newer fans are like maybe 2-3 mm at the widest...and the fan leaf structure generally is very thin blades.

In spite of her less than ideal color, she is a vigorous growing bitch!!! Stretching 2"+ per day for a while and still growing. She is well over 4 feet now. I have to keep tying her every which way to keep her out of my light which is maxed out now!! I have a HydroHut mini for those familiar with it. SSH5 and SSH6 are not far behind her either.

But what I would like help with since I have very little experience with SSH. Assuming the leaf color aberrations are "genetic anomolies" and not my bad care....Does this plant look sativa dominant to you because of its overall structure and thin leaves and bud structure?

Thanks, you guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pedro

Here are SSH5 and SSH6. These two have been treated indentically from day 1. They sprouted same day, pruned and topped the same, soil the same everything the same for these two...

Their buds look different to me. But what does it mean. They both look pretty healthy to me.

Thanks again

find two new spots here, one at 1000 meters of altitude and one at 300..
i have already one at 600, all is at 43 latitude.
will grow mostly sativa (nepal, tibet, chronic X haze) :headbange

start bad, none of the no mercy seeds cracked (tibet and nepal) :fsu:
but the bluehemp's nepal cracked...
i must put more no mercy in soil to be sure, and count on the bluehemp to save me :)

Those SSH look perfectly normal to me Pedro, they also look very healthy. There are 3 phenos I think, 9, 10 and 11 weeks, so the underdeveloped one is probably the 11 weeker and the one that laready has small buds is probably the 9 weeker.

Try germing your seeds in wet paper towels somewhere warm like the back of a cable box moe, this works much better than straight into soil.

None of my Blue Hemp Nepalis germed last year, sadly.

Lovely Colombian Raco. Here's some pics of an outdoor Colombian Gold x Lowryder BX1 (75% CG) lady a friend in the Czech republic grew last year, I made these seeds from the BSC CG line. Really good smoke, retained the fine earthy, nutty, spicy flavour of the original CG.

This pheno had a more traditional xmas tree shape and smelled fabulous.

These pics were taken on the same day, first is a pure CG cut, the second is the CG x LR BX1, as you can see, the lil bit of LR genes has made her MUCH faster:

Hello Moe!

Here is a very good method to get a high germination rate:

Take a plate and place 2 or 3 layers of paper towel on it.

Now sprinkle the paper with warm water, enough to moisten it good, but you don´t need to drown it...

Place the seeds on the moist paper.

Cover the seeds with another 1 or two layers of paper towels and sprinkle again with warm water.

Now take another plate, turn it around and cover the plate with the seeds.

Take this "flying saucer" and put it in a plastic bag.

Close the bag tightly and write the name of the strain on it.

Now place the bag in a warm environment(25-30 degrees Celsius are fine), like on a radiator.

Seeds should normally germ after 20- 36 hours,- some may take longer of course, some may even pop faster.

This method may sound a bit longwinded, but it works like a charm, I have 99% germ rate using it.

I tried different methods, but they didn´t do it for me like this one does.

Best wishes,

spice

Thank you for the kind words cb8412! She is such an sturdy plant and is very easy to grow! In fact, it has been my most easy Hazehybrid and this is the only 100 % sativa Hazehybrid I have grown, which makes me give extra :respect: for the breeder marijuanamat :respect:

Here´s a little Swazi redbeard, very beautiful sativa also..

I love my sativa´s :woohoo:

Here is a JackHererxWhiteRhino 11 days into flower. Can someone familiar with growing the jack tell me if this looks like a pure jack herer because I have another JHxWR going and it looks like a straight indica while this 1 looks mostly sativa. The seeds are F1 btw.
