Thank you! You really should try those HS beans when he brings some out! What i like on the HS is, she is not flowering forever. Some phenos need a bit longer, but some are already ready after~ 80-90, maybe some earlier. Very interesting smells, and a very clear high with a little body feeling.

Here a little Oaxaca79 im growing right now, curious how she will turn out.

Super nice mang... I had a nice collection of mexi landrace stuff but it got lost before I got to touch it... I do got some 70s hawian made by a friends uncle labeled "skywalker" no relation to skywalker of today n some other 70s hawian that was gifted by a respected breeder that's next for me to look through...

Sad to hear you lost them. Skyalker sounds nice, hope you will find something nice in them! Seems more and more people go back to old school genetics. Have some more Old School stuff i would like to go through one day. Some Manga Rosa, Copalita Oaxaca, Acapulco Gold, Punto Rojo, Swazi Rooi Bart, Ethiopian Highland, Nigerian etc. So much strains, but so little room to grow them all, will need a lot of time.

Ya mang that loss was terrible but I'm focused on the future.. got good friends n lots of stuff to keep busy...
100% agree these girls take there time so I gottA have a no rush attitude for them...Fuk growing them expecting money back... it kills me I get 2K+ for 9weekers all day but show someone a bag of a 16+Wk sativa they expect to pay like it is brick with seventies pricing.... they get a spot away from the crop in a play room and shared with friends... growing sativa keep growing fun for me. I pick a region n stick with it till I'm happy ....

Thx man! That just made my day! I'll never have enough time to enjoy what my eyes covet lmao!

I got Hawiian Snow in my grow room. Haha.
Starcrash, has it been a long while since you've grown that plant?

Kind regards,

Siever

That looks hella familiar... how many years back was that ?what types of flavors you got from her???

I grew that one out in 2006 and she was just as good,if not better then all the heavy-weights at the time

there is some confusion as to oaxaca 79. it's my understanding that vermontman's skull fuck is not sourced from the same genetics that oaxaca 79 cbg sourced and that ace is using. vermontman can clear this up.

I read the ace oaxacan 79 thread and it is not even close imo to a description of vermontman's skull oaxacan.

Hello idiit, yes i know that vermontmans line probably isn't the same as the one CBG is using. They're looking different from the Bud structure, CBG's line reminds me a bit of some Dr. Grinspoon plants i've seen on pictures, it looks like the Buds are forming from little pearls. The Oaxaca79 im growing comes directly from vermontman, had to promise to hold them tight.

I've often wondered the same. I believe CBG stated that their '79 Oaxaca came from a Canadian grower who's held it since '79. Vermont is pretty close to Canada so you never know. Hopefully Vermontman can clear it all up. I'd love to hear more about the whole Oaxaca '79 story too. I'm not even sure if it's a clone only or has been inbred since '79.

Vermontman picked the Seeds of his Oaxaca line out of some Oaxaca buds in 1979 with his own hands. His line is a Regular one, the line CBG is holding is a fem. line from a single clone out of canada. :)

Thanks for the info. Much respect to Vermontman for the work involved for keeping his alive for so long. I wonder how the two Oaxaca '79's compare and contrast and which is more "authentic". I know CBG's has at least some variation from when Ace/Dubi ran the S1's on his sub-forum. Is VM's fairly stable by now?

Here's the '79 Oaxacan and S1 from the Phylos galaxy. I think this is the CBG one though.

Yes he did a good work to hold this line alive for so long. Can't say much about the stability of them, they're still small and in veg. But vman said there are no real herm problems, and i trust him. :tiphat:

Lol 33 degrees F this morning and its may 8th IS not sativa friendly im noticing. The plant itself seems resilant provided theres no frost, but the soil and roots need to be kept warm/safe from temp flucs! In my novice experiance these things i notice. Curve ball this spring!

Hey Buddy!
My Oaxacan 79 is no relation to CBG 79 Oax being offered, I have seen pictures of CBG strain and its nothing like my line. In fact I have never seen anyone post pics of anything that looks like my line I have been keeping just over 40 years other than two very special people I has entrusted it to. My strain came from bag weed back when all there was were imports and only name of origin.
As to the question is stable? I have never worked with a strain that was as solid and stable as this Oax line. While working on her
during the last 40 years the only anomaly that occurred that led to a very pleasant deviation in the strain was when I switched to using LED light and what was exposed was the purple gene responsible for a completely purple line of my Oax which is running Just as stable as the green line other than the color variation and increased potency in both lines which was another expression that showed because of the effect of he LED lights.
