Cool!
So what is your fave African strain?
Are you into the African Landraces? Me too!

This Congolese plant is sometimes referred to as African Black Magic, it was collected in a village called Mapati

Thanks Bro. Oh no- fingers crossed for the Love plot. This year I had some bad luck with the males. The fridge in the garden was without cooling function after few days. I probably recognized it after few weeks.looks like my Pollen wasn’t vital this year. So every season is a surprise. The Nepal line is from the stock of BM lala‘s nepali release. Since then it’s F 3-4 . The heterosis on this cross is so amazing. I guess it’s perfect for the north.
Hopefully the turn suits me well :)

Haha I am always struggling to write this… here you go. https://therealseedcompany.com/product/kumaoni-himalayan-landrace-strain-cannabis-seeds/

I was attracted to its happy high as I red it in the www.

Last year i popped two seeds and I used the best male to pollinate the UEL F5..
the male was with amazing ginger smell.
Let’s see if I can finish it! For me it’s my Outdoor most NLD I ve ever grown :)

The UEL F7 is completely different to the F5. It was a little more indica as I know it from the F6. The Bud structure is different and the lemon smell isn’t the same.

I have two UEL F5 x UEL F6 running. One of it flowers since 10 weeks and still not ready :)

I have one other nice UEL cross running. SBR x UEL F6

All at 52N 😎
Great job at 52, very happy SBR x UEL F6, nice heat traps, shelter, low vegetation and herbaceous borders.. that fern looks happy under there! What is SBR like?

Aye pollen can be tricky, I'm getting better at dealing with it each year, understanding the conditions it needs...

The Nepal x UEL is a nice looking cross alright - I find the UEL can bring out the aromas of the other side of the cross more than the original, probably because it is earlier too, and gets more of the good growing season.

Took in a Purple Satellite x UELsativaS1xlemon two nights ago, fair bit of mould but still very decent harvest, vigour was amazing. Will revisit this one in a fresh cross.

The Kumaoni is something I got years ago but never sowed, an indoor grower friend has them now. That looks like it'll finish no problem, it's well on the way. Ginger stem is awesome, got that with a Mextiza before. Make many seeds of that one?

A 10 week UEL, I haven't come across that yet, mostly 7-8 here. Where do the aromas sit with that one? So much variation in there, as @Kalbhairav mentions, there's likely more to it than just G13xSMCG...

Ethiopian. Light dep since August 28 @ 45N

EthA-Sept21.jpg

NCH3 x Ethiopian, feeling confident about those. The resin is starting to come in and I like how hairy she is. Aromas are coming in. Similar to the NCH3 and a little more floral and a little more of those carrot terps but they are blending in well. The big difference early on with the Ethiopian was the lack of what I assume is Beta-Pinene, which the NCH3 has none of but the Ethiopian does. They'll naturally smell more pungent than the pure Ethiopian as flowering progresses.

For reference the NCH3 which is a very middle of the road plant. It has been selected over 10 years for outdoors so it's better suited for my climate.

Zacatecas Tribute
Oaxacan Gold purple line X Big Sur Holy Weed,
Grown in compost with all organic amendments,
And done is done! with more rain coming in today, and a few small spots of the mold monster showing it's ugly head. But not bad for such a crappy grow season.
Time for these ladies to come indoors.

Early chunk love it !- how do you keep them so small, mid July plant out?

I’m thinking nothing goes out next year till at least 7/15 and absolutely no more volunteers; they turn into trees !!

Hey @led05
Great trees!
I put them out June 16th as clones but I am at 1700ft elevation so are temps here are probably lower? They started off with a wet soggy feet so for while they just sort of sat there and I did not water all summer. Last year they were quite a bit bigger and when I grew them from seed in 2021, they were towers.

Ethiopian is still going.. she's stacking. I don't know when the weather will be too cold for her but I have to make some room inside, forecasts are encouraging but ultimately I know she'll need some warmth.

I think the tarp probably caused some powdery mildew, I might spray her down with baking soda and dish soap.

I also didn't get the feed right, I overfed a little early then dialed back too much. I added some slow release organic pellets to the top, added some top soil and watered it. hopefully it's just right.

eth-sept26.jpg

NCH3 x ETH, very happy with it, smells have that similar base as the NCH3 but with the carrot top there's a little bit of those permanent marker aromas, slightly chemical.

comparatively this was ACE's panama on the same date last year. It's giving me some confidence.
