What?1:1 hybrids
What?1:1 hybrids
What's the problem with 1:1 hybrids?
Maybe if you inbreed the shit out of them.Genetic erosion.
Why would you breed a polyhybrid if you were trying to preserve genetics? Obviously you're doing it to improve the offspring leaving the same old phenos behind. Goodbye "the past", evolution is here!Even if you don't. You really think if you crossed one haze individual with one skunk individual that you'll maintain all the genes that were in each of those populations? No chance in hell.
The recombining ability is bad? What? Can't you just select for the characteristics you want?muffynumnum,
and if with a 1:1 cross the recombining ability (RCA) is bad where do you go with the line? having as many possibilities as possible is good is it not, its better to have other options than none is it not?

It's like DJs says, the offspring should be better or you don't use them, simple as that
Go with the flow.and if you have done a 1:1 cross just on phenotypic looks... but the results are bad then what? do you keep selecting what looks right?

Then you gotta listen to noobs bitch about there being more than one pheno in a pack.Dj's the king of 1:1 matings while filial breeding. Notice many of his plants lack vigor and are plagued with mutants?
I don't know what you're talking about breeding a polyhybrid? Haze and Skunk are inbred lines and if you want to make a nice F1 skunkhaze I don't recommend using only one male and female to get the job done. It's important to maintain diversity for future selections/improvement.
Snobbery at it's finest. (I do it too.)Noobs don't know what the term pheno means so I ignore them.
