Revegging Autos

This is a first for me. I have a great little auto strain that goes black/dark purple outdoor.

I had a few seeds and decided to make more. When it started to flower I touched it with STS and it exploded with pollen pods. I collected the pollen as the plant matured and had a couple other untouched females in the tent and let them get pollinated.

I let the feminized plant live because I want to make sure the S1 seeds ripen completely. Now it's starting to reveg.

Will autos reveg as a rule?

Good question? Looking forward to see what happens. From what I have read about autos (finicky) wrt what you do with them. e.g topping, having the plant in its final pot, etc, etc... they prefer to be left alone. If I was to take a guess (base solely on what I have read in the "auto" thread, less than 50/50. But hey, take one for the team good buddy and go for it, wishing you all the best in the process. Sent a silent prayer to the MJ Gods :tiphat:

From what I've read, Autos can't be cloned because the plant remembers where it is in it's age/flowering. I'm going to take a cut from the new reveged growth and try to clone it.

Go 4 it! You got nothing to loose good buddy. The plant has surrendered her goods :)

Regrowth looks perfect for clones. I confess, I've never grown a true auto from seed. Over the years people have given me clones that had what I thought might be auto traits, but weren't 'full auto'. I'm pretty sure one of those traits is root restriction triggering flowers. I think you'll do fine with that plant if you re pot it frequently.

I had an auto cheese that revegged and gave me 3 harvests. After the 3rd it withered up. Some may say it isn't a true auto, but it flowered every 4 months. But that was 1 plant out of a few dozen grown so it could be a one off. Haven't had that luck again.
Put it in a bigger pot and see what happens!
