When its done, If I harvest most of the plant for smoke(my main goal) and leave the outlined section attached (my 2nd goal), would that be enough vegetative material to give me a reasonable chance at switching her back to veg?
Coco. Quarter gallon fabric.

TIA

If you put the reveg vs the start-over you will get more from the start over. Reveging is time-consuming and stressful to the plant compared to just start a new one. Either way friend thanks for the post and keep us updated.

as a rule of thumb ....the quicker the better and the more vegetative material the better,..if you really love the smoke.. keep as much of the plant for revegging as you feasibly can ...and get it back on a veg light cycle as quick as you feasibly can ......that said, plants can reveg from a tiny amount of plant material ....but the odds of success diminish ...good luck bro

My other tent is on an 18/6 schedule. Is 24hrs 💡 better to reveg than 18/6?
Meh, in my opinion it'll be fine either way, plants kinda sleep too u know.. well no sleep but they do do stuff in the dark. Ppl will argue this, basically your choice, only thing I found in reveg I've just pulled off big buds and cloned them and it worked, yes very stressful. And head up when the bud starts to die, don't get sad. I was and got worried lol it still worked lmao...
As they said treat it like a vegging plant, ppl overtime stuff like I do and overcomplicate things...
This is an old Pic but it will show you what to expect. These were brought in from outside and I think k gave myself bugs that year if I remember correctly...
Learning experiences...

The yellow pot is an exact representation of what your speaking of, that was inside and I chopped 95% off.
It was fine lol
But everyone is correct here like stress and whatnot
Nice fat stinky buds do the best in my experience, save the best... sorry dude lol

I was just asking on the off chance not having a break in light could trigger veg faster or easier somehow chemically.

Nice!
How long until she started back in veg?
It's gona take a bit, don't over water make sure to try to flush out all your flower nutes with ph corrected water, the best you can give it some water at first then some food I start with a micro dose, and work up, water when ever it needs it, this is your discretion bc I don't know how it will drink, monitor it. Those pics are like a month in. After the chop and they are just starting to show vegg back, some are further along, you can see. It's gona get all crunchy maybe, just don't get weird and keep to your guns, don't let the plant droop bc of lack of water specifically, but do not overwater either, it cannot perspire water well at this point, there isn't leaves and the leaves left are currently in bud form, (at this point think of your bud as a cluster of leaves, bc it is)
And to your question, it's all what the plant wana do, u turning back time essentially...
Once we grow gray hair it don't turn color again...
Thays what we are essentially doin here in my eyes, it's alive it has a life cycle just like anything else...
Once it does veg again you will have a monster cropped plant ready for a sea of green grow 😀
Could be literal months tho my dude, j can't give a timeline... think of science class in high school... this is an experiment 🤔 I guess, bc I can't give solid numbers.
Im a stoner
These are my opinions 🤣 🤣

Also, I run 16/8 for veg, period, always, there is exceptions but u don't need that cluttering your head.
Basically anything over 12 Hours should do it for you,
And no I personally think putting it back to what it was vegging on is better,
Example the yellow pot lost 90% of its plant but was inside, all light was controlled.
The others were outside and and much more environment changes it had to deal with, those are full plants I threw outside and they were horrible but I wanted the strain,
So I brought full plants inside,
You can see the results, indoor did way better than outdoor personally bc I think there was to much chabeging...simple as that... every change you make to your plant stresses it and adds time to your grow,
You wana remove 2 months of flower from you plants life, in actuality your kinda removing 3 to 4 months... in however long it will take..
Things to ponder...

I use 18/6 for veg. 24 for revegging. For revegging it seems to increase success rate and decrease the time it takes. Within 30 days you should see new growth and possible clones shortly after.

With 18/6 it will work but it seems with any amount of darkness they sit there confused. I've had plants like Dogster mentions as well and that's just part of the game. It happens.

I once revegged a blueberry plant and flowered it 6 times before it finally wouldn't come back. Might be my most profitable plant ever after providing six crops.

Just my opinion after revegging plants since the 90's, 24 hours light works the best. Your results may vary.
