Yes, it needs all the weight that it can get.

The media was very dry, but although the bud was under lights, it was humid in the grow area, so when I finished trimming it up, it was still a little damp. So I had to let it dry a bit more overnight in an air conditioned room. It is about right now and curing.

Only 6 grams, according to the mail scale I used, that does not show partial grams.

I guess I am the last man still working on this:

Here are the last three. They could go a little longer, but time is short.

I had the plants under homemade LED lights using mostly Cree COBs. I used Maxibloom at one teaspoon per gallon of tap water.

Most of the time I watered by filling up a saucer with fertilized water and setting the yogurt cup in the water. I did this in the evening, when the lights came on. 12 hours later, I would pour out the water remaining in the saucer and let the plant sit. Typically when I watered in the evening, the plant media was still damp.

I had to make a couple of trips where I could not do my daily watering and pouring off of the excess. When that happened, I buried yogurt cups in a one gallon fabric bag and had a blumat drip into the yogurt cup. The holes in the yogurt cup let the moisture go into the media, to shut off the dripper.

Standard Smoke Report

Variety/Cultivar name: unknown

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
:

• Visual Appeal: Nice looking buds, cured medium green, orange hairs. 8.5

• Visible Trichomes: Decent coverage, nothing remarkable. All cloudy. 6.0

• Bud density: Medium density, you could squish it, but not airy.
Rate the bud density from 1-10 airy-dense, 6.0

• Bud aroma: Smells like sweet vanilla, cream soda, with a spicy hash. 8.0

THE SMOKE TEST

• Glass Pipe

• Taste: Vanilla hash, a little spice/pepper. 8.0

• State of dryness: These are well cured, smoke able buds.
1-10 wet-dry where 5 is ideal. 5.0

• Smoke ability: Somewhat harsh, I’ve had worse.
1-10 harsh-smooth. 4.0

• Dosage: Maybe 0.5g, 3 decent hits.

• Effect onset: Bit of a creeper, 10-15 minutes and I knew it.
1-10 immediate-major creeper. 6.0

• Sativa influence: A little bit, but couch like narcotic took over soon.
0-10 none-extreme. 3.0

• Indica influence: Mid level Afghani, could function, glad I didn’t have to.
0-10 none-extreme. 6.0

• Potency: Decent after work smoke, nothing mind bending.
0-10 none-devastating. 4.0

• Duration: Good start and then an even mild buzz for about an hour.
Easy come down, but a little red eye dehydration blah.

• Tolerance build up: Mid level Afghani, would rotate this out as
a weeknight casual smoke.
0-10 none-rapid. 7.0

• Usability: Weekday after work casual smoke, predictable.

• Keeper: Would keep this cultivar if I didn’t already have a go to utility plant.

NOTES:

This was a good plant, easy to flower, but slow veg, like most Afghanis.

Yield was decent for the conditions, and a bigger container would make
this plant a keeper in my early days of growing.

I liked the flavor and scent, and would cross it with a citrus scented
plant of similar genetics to round out an interesting flavor medley.

As I grow micro and already have projects in the chute, and have plants that
are much better than this, these materials will be culled.

Peace.

nice smoke report Dropped cat

Thanks, all my new smoke get a report like this, I have
lots of seeds stashed and like to keep tabs on what I like
and traits to avoid.

Difficult sometimes to describe buds to friends, having
a cheat sheet like this helps folks decide on what they
want.

I followed the classic form and streamlined it somewhat.

Good demo, these runs help guys like me understand
what our lovely plants can do.

Well, by trimming up the buds and putting them on warm screens that had a bit of air flow over them in an air conditioned room, I managed to get them dry, although I am sure that it is without much of a cure. The interesting thing from my point, is that although I used three different shaped containers for these three different plants, they all weighed within a gram of each other when all was said and done. I used a scale that was only accurate to plus or minus a gram, but that being said, all three plants yielded, according to the scale, 9 grams.

Danone 9 grams

Return of the
Yogurt Cup Challenge
Winter 2017

6) Harvest must be no more than 20 weeks from today, that's May 24th 2017 . You can enter and finish ANY time between now and and the 24th of May, but MUST be harvested with finished product pictures and smoke report by May 24th 2017.

7) Keep the photos and updates regular, one per week at least. Showing a ruler or something for scale in pics goes a long way! Missing 3 or more weeks without any update disqualifies a contestant, so keep up steady updates for maximum participation and to be considered in the winners poll.

8) Winner will be decided by a poll posted after the challenge is completed.

Completed Yogurt Cup Grows will be judged by the ICMAG community in a poll upon completion of the contest. Finished grows will be judged on:
Quality of the information given
Frequency and presentation of updates
Quality of photographs and / or videos
Explanation & details
Design of the grow (concept)
Smoke report
Answers to questions about the grow
Quality & Quantity of the harvest
