Return Of The Return Of The Angry Jamaican.....

Sort of a grapefruit/onion stink?

I did grow out a dozen before and found a rotten fruit dr pepper musk pheno that was debilitating...I never did a stem rub, but I'm hoping this armpit is it, I could easily see it working that way,,,,the other stem rubs smell more like the bud..

Another reason I crossed these 2 was because of the very different and unique chemical profiles,,,if true hybrid melded the width of the cannabinoid and Terps would be significant..very full spectrum

I could only image how she smell " armpit pheno" not to mention crosses to.Dr pepper musk pheno.
One will be smelling her, before seeing her,but what a sight to behold, growing unfettered!?

I up posted the new mother and took a clone about a week ago...

She seems to grow with a lot of uneven multi nodes or whatever you call them....lots of branches like that , maybe she grow out of it.

But the clone I took was a branch with 5 intersections per node, like 2 stems stuck together, should give a good thick base to start if it roots.

The plan is to take out the led panels from the big tent and set up the small tent again as a power vedge micro tent,,.vedge up the AJ ,,,move her to the big tent,,,then I'll flower out one of the sour diesel in the micro tent, it'll finish in time to use again to vedge another AJ.

She's an easy cloner, I like that.

Moved peat pellet to mini bubble, will move up soon once more established.

Hi Jammal,

Your previous 'Angry Jamaican' (Purple Malawi x Caribe ) grow was epic, really explosive flowering. I wonder what you will be able to find if you make a selection from a larger batch. Good luck and happy hunting! :)

Not much difference in the growth of them. Just slight variations on Terps effect potency, but really everything is good, we're talking Lambsbread x purple malawi what's not to like?

Its gonna be crazy, I'm about to order some LED's

I'm shooting for a 600w hps + 600w led combo in a 4x4 DWC bush/scrog

Here is a pic of the last angry jamaican run in a tiny tent....smashing all micro grow records for ever more.

The hybrid fruits enormous with minimal maintenance..almost no trim..I want to go back to it, so fun to grow...

Here is a pic of my new larger tent currently on week 3 of 10/14 with a big buddha silver cheese.
I like it but it's just pure haze and cheese..I like it but I like variety....I come to believe anything haze is a pain in my ass to grow...

i love those fans@! im using one now!

Time for an update @JAMMAL!

After reading this thread, I'm tempted to germinate a bunch of Angry Jamaican seeds and do a pheno hunt myself, and see how many similar terps I find.

The Angry Jamaican I grew last summer, despite it's small size, has become my favorite of last year's harvest. I'm thinking about growing one outdoors this summer, and another in the greenhouse.

Love those terps!

No update yet from JAMMAL, but I have an angry Jamaican update: I'm joining the club, and doing an AJ pheno hunt myself. Around twenty seeds germinated in a paper towel, and they are now breaking through the soil in the greenhouse. I'm planning to select three: one will grow outdoors through the summer, and two in the greenhouse.

I can't wait to start sniffing them all and picking the winners! In the meantime, I'm gonna go burn some AJ. As much as I like the stuff, I'm surprised I have any left.

Sorry I ducked out on Ya'll for so long, I ended up stopping growing and quit cannabis for 6 months. Had some issues going on and the whole pandemic thing.

But I just miss getting high, so I cracked into my stash which I still kept plenty of...Have about 2g of Angry Jamaican from my first grow of it that has been curing now for about 18 months and fired up a couple small bong rips.....TO THE MOON!!! anyways, I miss growing and will have to start a new pheno hunt for the elusive one again...

the One I found earlier took on a strong citric white grapefruit skunky armpit aroma as she got bigger,I'm in a legal state and the smell in veg was getting concerning lol, it was gonna be special,But I will find another like her...I started a couple Lime OG seeds I found in a batch from local dispensary, those 2 are getting the first start while I round up things for another pheno run, I'll prob put the Lime OG in the micro setup like I did with the first AJ 1sgft

anyway hope you all are doing well in these hard times.

its good to be back

Good to see you back! I've been thinking I should call you, and invite you down to the front range to sample some of my latest Angry Jamaican. I'm just jarring a lovely lady I grew this summer in a hoop house. She showed great hybrid vigor, and produced a beautiful crop.

Harvest came slowly though: I ran out of last year's A.J. a month before this one was ready. I won't be running out again anytime soon. :joint:

. . . I bet the AJ seeds i gave you will be garden all stars given a full summer to do things right....

You are sure right about that. I'm sad I didn't take any photos of the Angry Jamaican I just harvested. I did photograph the harvest, though. I'm stoked by the harvest: roughly six quart jars of bud. That should last a while, even if I give away a bunch of it.

picture.php

All that bud came off a plant that was only about 3 feet tall. I lollypopped her at the beginning of flower, stripping off all the popcorn and bud sites that wouldn't amount to much. In the end I harvested a lovely foot-long cola and about twenty fat branch tips. I'll probably lollypop every plant I grow in the future. It sure makes trimming easier when all the bud is large and dense.

I didn't even plant it in early spring. I waited a bit longer this year to start the summer grow. I figured that I already have way more bud than I can use, left over from last summer's outdoor grow. Now I just want variety in my stash, so smaller plants are fine, and much easier to cover when a freeze threatens! That's important for pure sativas, since we get plenty of freezing weather in October. Like most other sativas, the AJ I just harvested wasn't ready to harvest until early November.

I don't need any more of those big one-pound monster plants I grew last year.
