Earning respect is a difficult term to define. The person who is earning the respect of others should not be actively trying to earn their respect because it seems like fakery. Others earn our respect through their innate behavior. If someone is a true blue friend and has your back they have earned your respect but have not actively sought it.
Does that make any sense, I'm a little high.
the biker saying "Respect is earned, never guaranteed" is accurate but does not imply that the earner is doing anything other than being themselves. The respect is not given automatically or perpetual. It's in the deeds done.
Of course now the choice is whose respect does one want. If I wanted the respect of a mass murderer would I go out and kill as many people as I could? If I were insane, yes.
So it seems respect is neutral and defined by the giver.
OK I'm done for now.
HEY ALEX, hope yur doin fine my friend.
PEACE DA
