Couple pics of RP SD getting into flower. This one is the Sour Skunk pheno, starting to stack nicely.

This is the Sweet Lemonhead pheno, looks to be a little more open bud structure than the other one. She does smell great though.

I think the first one most similar to the one I have. The second one is too sativa leaning. Looks like the first one has the little "crowns" of buds too. Mine when done properly fills out and looks like an OG.
Weak stems, defo needs support. I had one in a 5 gal that was leaned against the side of the tent. When I went to slide the bucket toward the center, the stem just snapped

just started a 3 pack of Kandy Kush, gonna see how it turns. Right now I have a couple of sensi stars at day 40 flower, they are so frosty, they smell so great, like fuel or cat's piss. lol nothing to contribute about sour diesel but I wanted to say something

RP Kandy Kush is rather old. I had a freebie from the tude that hermied like 5 or so years ago.

oh man don't tell me that. my 2nd best sensistar on this current grow turned mutant, almost hermie but no, mutant, its not producing trichomes, its not bulking up, it just sits there with perpetual early flowers without resin

at least those Kandy Kush are a newer batch than yours.. crossing fingers..

they were started with a 3 seeds pack of Delahaze, 2 regulars of RP's Tanjie, and a single fem of Jacky White.

nice description, in the early overgrow days, the Trainwreck was a "dream" to me, only available on cuttings, and now that's available on seed form is the right moment to try it, at least an hybrid.
I've never tried RP's. I stick with Paradise but this mutant from the sensistars made me realize to try different breeder. peace

I am planning on s1'ing the rp sour d, but its very difficult to to find any info on the variations found. I would really appreciate it if some of the folks that have popped these beans would show some of the selections they have made.

no negative here....mine is insane...and i have many SD elites...this is my #2 keeper...its the only pic i could find...checks all the boxes...DJXX

So I am thinking that the "smells nothing like sour" reviews were the lemonhead genotype and the sour skunk is the one I have.

Chingon good on you for posting them both side by side, it really helps.

FYI, the more sour pheno (less sativa and lemon), hermied a little. Just a couple nanners, I plucked them off and she's close to finish so I'll keep an eye on her. I doubt it was environment.

OK, I finished these two girls off. They've been dried and I took a couple sample buds out of jars after just 2 days to see if either are worth keeping.

I'll come back and post some pics here when I get a chance.

Despite the sativa leaning lemon head pheno being so sativa in growth it was very close to finish when I chopped her next to the more sour indica pheno. I chopped at 70 days, but they could have gone a week longer. These were a couple of freebies, so this wasn't a dialed in grow.

The lemon head sativa pheno has an extremely open bud structure, taste like a sweet lemon haze and although I didn't care for it in a bubbler, a joint I passed around got rave reviews and I preferred the joint myself. No real cure yet, so taste may get better. Yield was average despite coke can size colas (fluffy). Potency 6/10 Not a keeper.

The sour pheno impressed me. Heavy yield. 4 ounces, 2 week veg from seed, topped once in 5 gal with bag soil. Dense buds exactly the way RP described including color. Potency is a 7/10 and I'm a heavyweight. Better still is the taste, smooth and sour right off the bat but among the smoothest smokes I've had for not having a good cure. My only complaint is the taste is only a 5/10 and only about a 6/10 on the loud scale. Maybe a cure will help this, if it does I will grow again with some TLC to see if I can get better results. This is the pheno that had the nanners pop out but the pollen was sterile (I tried to pollenate a lower bud to check for sterility) and it was only two in the same spot. So far, this still isn't quite the SD I'm after but in all fairness it's probably the closest I've come across yet and a lot of people would be happy with this one.

I'm not doing a separate smoke or grow report since these are just a couple freebies and a more dedicated grow effort should be done before

No coffee in the indica pheno, but I'll report back with pics and a better smoke report once they've cured a little. Incidentally, my girl finished off the indica test bud in a vape and loved it. Had her in a great mood but said she had to make herself be productive. Kind of a blind test as she didn't know what was in the grinder.

I'll probably process the sativa pheno into something to dab as I don't care for the buds, but the terps are truly special if you like lemonine.
