Reserva Privada OG #18

Hi all,

I'm about to grow some OG #18 seeds because i've heard that is really fire.

A friend suggested to take the true OG seeds from elemental seeds instead, but here in Italy i really can't find them so i bought the OG #18 ones (beeing happy with other DNA/RP creations).

Anyone has experience with this strain?

I'm very interested in knowing :

- Is it potent?
- The yield is good?
- How much it will stretch?
- She like to be topped?

IME og18 and wifi both are on the bland side, but I'm biased because there is plenty of legit clone only og flowers in my area. I've seen one or two good examples of both, but a lot of bland harsh examples of both, they just don't put out a high percentage of phenos with that lemon gas og flavor. That being said it's all in the luck of the draw and your own selection, so cross your fingers and hope for a keeper

Ive grew the reserva privada og #18 from seed last year, Its a very poor representation of an OG. The plant leans heavy on the indica side, very squat and bushy, and produces dense purple golf ball sized buds that smell most like a bubba kush. There is nothing OG about this strain, dont waste your time.

There are some good phenos in there, I've grown quite a few myself. Some will be bland but that's seeds.

Long viney og plant with tight silver buds iirc, yield is shit unless you train it.

I would top but it depends on your growstyle/space.

I grew the 18 a couple of years back and thought the smell , quantity,and quality were ,all there. This year I grew the skywalkerog which is a og18 hybrid and I couldn't be happier

I was blessed with a super piney, gassy pheno..
Great phenos to b found.. But i think they are definately few and far between..

Once u do find one of the dank 18's, u will have a plant that can compete with any elite..

Thanks guys,,That bottom photo was the mom from seed..
It has never grown that many leaves since.. Now i rarely get over five blades..
I believe the og 18 is truly a chem /og variety.. Really piney, gassy, earthy, funk... This pheno is a shorter indica dom vs. Others ive found in packs.. Only doubles in height, if that.. Likes low strength food with lots of N an mag.. Very strong.. Easily high 20s..
Very stinky.. Can yield ok,, my best was 5 oz. in a 5 gal. pot..I will probably never let it go.peace

I just ran the OG #18 and Purple OG #18 and both and fine frosty smoke. Like Acriblabs said keep the nitrogen low. I just used some blood and bone meal with a little kelp in some Bx soil less mix and just watered with plain ph'd water and epsom salts and they turned out prime. I had two pheno's of the OG #18 both yielded about 3 oz's in 3 gallon air pots, both hashy one having an underlying lemon undertone and the stock rub smelt like lemon candy. I think i took them till 70-72 days in flowering.
The Purples are super frosty, smell amazing, really sticky but I don't like them because rolling a joint takes longer to roll then smoke. It's been in jars for a few months and it's still sticky like glue it's crazy.

I might just have to pop my Purple OG #18 after reading this. I have A Skywalker Kush going now.

Like most havv said there's some nice decent yielding phenos you just have to search for them. There's also shit yielding bland phenos. Not even close to a real og, but still some good plants can be found. I didn't get any short squat phenos out of a 10 pack mine were all real stretchy and lanky. That was a few years ago though unless something has changed you will want to top them several times or they will stretch out of control.

I agree with most phenos being really stretchy. Everyone one was but the one i kept.. The pack it came from was purchased 2010 ..
Not sure what people have been seeing as of late but i guarantee there is still great stuff. Good luck python,, always good to see italian growers around,, peace

My keeper pheno had plenty of the og funk going on. There's definitely some worthy plants in there.
