1. What rap star is involved with the strain?

2. I'm in a non-medical state, have PTSD, and this whole thread is killing me.

Sorry the thread is killing. Maybe you need to move??

GS Cookies Cannabis Strain

Bred by The Hemp Center, GS Cookies was crossed with OG Kush, Durban Poison and Cherry Kush to create flavors of cotton candy mixed with fruit and spice. Made famous by Berner, a San Francisco rapper and collective owner, GS Cookies yields a moderate to heavy crop with and has a resistance to most pests and diseases. Flowering time is approximately 9-10 weeks with a THC level of 18-23% and a CBD ranging 0.7-1.0%.

Here is the first entry into my new garden. I know it isn't much yet, but more than a seed. This is Blue Dream.

Things are really cool in the Emerald City these days. We are all drifting into a world of legalized cannabis seamlessly. The warmer weather is coming and I expect to see people smoking outside in public more. I know I am.

Another thing is price. It seems that all the dispensaries and those that support the dispensaries are in a bit of a price war in fact. That may or may not be good news to you, depending on what side of consumer/provider line you reside.

In the Northwest Cannabis Market in White Center you have All Kinds of vendors. (I am sure there are a million places like this in California). It is mostly comprised of young people, lower 20s. Lots of free stuff, drawings (door prizes) and lots of bargain hunting. I found a couple vendors selling good bud for $6-$7 per gram, rounding up in weight and rounding down in dollars. It makes me wonder why I would ever grow. All the name brands we hear of all the time are there, and some names you never heard of. I bought some University of Washington Purple (School Colours are Purple and Gold). I bought a eighth of that just for the colour jajaja. I was given so much weed and hash there it was embarrassing. But I will buy from all those that gave me something at some point or another, if the sample was good. I seen clones there for Lavender Kush and GSC Thin Mint. There was no GSC in bud form yesterday, they were sold out. Many of the vendors offered to smoke with me, as they apparently have a smoking room. I had to decline because I had a person in the car waiting for me. Oh yeah, before I forget, the $6-$7 grams, that was good good weed, compact well trimmed buds that had plenty of frost. For the person on a budget it's a good deal.

I have been to a lot of dispensaries here and so far they are all pretty cool. I bought 2 grams of the Grape Ape at one, it was the last that he had of it and it was a little dry. He gave me this one bud that was more than an eighth for $20 USD. They try to be as professional as possible, without being too uptight. A lot of important networking goes on in those waiting rooms is another advantage.

My advice for everyone in Washington is to go medical. It is easy enough to do, it may make a workplace piss test a non-issue, you can grow weed and possess more weed.

Hey huli...

Are you seeing any DJ Short stuff being offered? I've been buying in the Portland dispensaries, only found DJ stuff (blueberry) once. I don't think most folks bother growing DJ's gear due to cost of the beans, and maybe worries about germination.

If you do see DJ stuff, how are they pricing it?

Sorry Yortbogey. I don't see a way to edit that post so I can take that link out but I won't feel bad if you do. Also how do I get a profile pic? Thanks!

So are the dispensaries selling to the general public yet? Or do you have to be medical still?

In many ways those of us who live in Seattle are Very lucky right now. Especially compared to other WA cities like Yakima that have city ordinances against any medical grows, or dispensaries, or collectives at all. But I agree with yortbogey.
the chaos will begin in August when the state hands out/...awards../the initial set of "GROWER"... licenses fro the state...
followed by the processor, and retailer licenses in November....

thats when the goofy schitt will begin'

Wiggs Dannyboy, I haven't seen any DJ Short stuff that I know of. But I will keep my eyes open. I really don't notice many providers highlighting the genetics of their particular strains.

You know I have been to a half a dozen or more dispensaries in the Seattle area and I see a lot of Blueberry, but that is it. I have not inquired about clones. I will keep my eye out for the other stuff of DJ. I remember really liking F13. Things have changed though. Blue Dream and GSC Cookies are my favorites atm.

You have to have a medical card, but they are extremely easy to get, quite affordable and well worth it. A medical card opens many doors. I got back the $75 I spent on the card the first time I went to the the cannabis market in White Center. I left that place with so many samples, at least a half of an ounce, some edibles and some hash.

Great thread Huligun! Have you been to the 'Galaxy' location between Remo Borrachini's and Mutual Fish on Raineer Ave. S.? Also I don't see Workplace rules changing for quite some time. Check this link for precedence. http://www.mrsc.org/focus/hradvisor/hra1107.aspx
For other local info check http://seattlecannabis.boards.net/

I live and work in Seattle. To be honest Seattle is becoming the new Marijuana Mecca, the New Amsterdam or better.

It is about the right size city to be cool, yet big enough to have everything we want. I rarely venture down Rainer Ave. There has been gang activity in that area and therefore police. There is a clone provider and an actual nursery called Green Lion Farms. They have the GS Cookies there for $100, but I found a couple places in the city that have them for $20. I have smoked the buds of the $20 clones and am happy I found the real deal. Green Lion is trying to become a legit supplier under I-502. I don't know what all is happening with that, but these are exciting times. My weed collection (buds) is becoming 30 strains or so. I have strains at home that I haven't even tried. In fact I get strains and have friends smoke them gone before I even try them. It's all good, I am having a blast.

not so easy to get medical in WA for conditions covered in other states..

To be honest I don't think you know what you are talking about. It is ten times easier to get a medical card in Washington than it is in say Oregon. For about $75 and an hour of your time you can get legal and go to a dispensary. Chronic Pain is one thing that qualifies and nobody knows if you are in pain or not. Getting Marijuana is easier than getting pain pills, the way it should be.

Today is opening day in Seattle (Baseball). I don't have tickets, but I have to drive right through the belly of the beast anyway. GF is arriving by train and I have to go pick her up at the exact wrong time. I get a text message that she is coming to town and needs a pick up.

Hey Huli...

You like barbeque? Do you know about Pecos Pit Barbeque in Seattle? Some of the best I've ever had. It's located in the same vicinity of the Mariners ballpark. Very limited hours though...Monday through Friday, 11 am to 3 pm or something like that. Those are sucky hours, but it does speak to the products quality, how many businesses can make a profit being open 20 hours a week? Get ready to stand in line for 10 minutes or so, even on rainy days. And they only have outdoor seating...
