Repairing ripped/torn Air pump diaphragm

Apply superglue directly to(inside) the tear. Do not apply too much outside the tear. Excess glue increases the rigidity of the rubber (won't pump as much air). Run to make sure the glue holds.

For dual output careful not to switch pump arms(magnets) goes to which side. Will impact the amount of air it pumps.

Got tired of replacing the entire pump and repair kits are 50% cost of the pumps. The fix is cheap, effective, less waste and can be fixed in under 24 hours.

Diaphragm on the top, went a little crazy with the glue and had to scrap the excess off.

Diaphragm on the bottom was torn half way around. Beyond my expectations, the glue is holding.

Bonus:
For my pumps(Whisper), the white strips on the arms/magnets must face up when you re-install them. Else, they will not move as much and will pull less air.

Warning: oh yeah. for whisper pumps. When reinstalling the white piece make sure it goes back in the same way you pulled it out (big hole should be closest to the pivot point.) Else, the pump will suck air IN and not pump air out.. Which definitely can become a problem when put in water.
