Remotely Monitor Humidity and Room Temp

For people who live a distance from the farm. Here's something that will give you the ability to monitor your room temps and humidity for less than a $100.

First you need an Acu-Link Internet Bridge for $79 that plugs into your internet router.

Then you need remote sensors that cost $7.50 to send the data back to the link which then forwards it to a web-site or your a smart phone app.

You can connect up to 3 remote sensors to each Acu-Link Bridge and monitor your rooms either on the internet or with their smart phone app. And they make an app for the iphone and android devices

Just a cool effective way to make sure your temps and humidity are inline while your at your day job!

K+ on that, Bud. I might just put a remote sensor in my stealth growbox to tell me if temperatures get out of range as that would indicate a fan failure. Then again, I put a brand new fan in the box after the old one failed and my crop was cooked to a crisp.

Have to think on that one.

Cool thing with these is you setup temp and humidity alerts to notify you by email or alert your smart phone if something runs amuck.

Have you used these much? I ask mainly because I switched from Acu-Rite sensors to Oregon Scientific because I was having a devil of a time getting them to reliably report to the main base station. Seemed they'd lose connection, and nothing I did (resetting, swapping batteries, etc) would bring them back online until they felt like it.

Seriously love the idea and package though... this would be really nice to have.

Thank You for Posting this. I might end up getting these but I'm also trying to figure out if I can just upgrade an a/c thermostat for wifi alerts like these do.
