Reliable companys selling male pollen

That's what I've always thought too.

Good males are harder to some by then good females because the selection process isn't as immediately evident.

I know some breeders go so far as to make hash out of all of their males to test that as well.

Pollen cannot be turned into a plant and has no active THC in it, so it cannot be illegal.

Correct! If the pollen contains no THC then it is not illegal. The only reason seeds are illegal is because they contain trace amounts of THC.

Take P. Cubensis spores for instance...they are 100% legal to buy and sell because they contain none of the active compounds found in the mushroom itself.

I'd buy some polly polly if someone were selling it.

For one the male ratio is usually lower so the need to pop more beans. That aside the ratio of quality males compared to quality females for the same amount of plants is lower. A good breeder can for the most part locate a good male by eye. There's things like root structure for one that is important but yes...ultimately you don't really know until you test the offspring.

A smoke test is part of the male selection process.

Here's a male I did outdoors last years and got a few tablespoons of pollen and made my own cross. Indications are it was very good but not necessarily great. It's a purple Afghani x Oaxacan cross. Some people are testing beans so we'll see.
