Are there any such companies? If there isn't,there should be.If it were an honest operation I can see where it would be very lucrative

Would pollen be illegal? I would hope not, but then again - seeds are. Anyone?

I guess there are none,I've never heard of any.I remember when a company called ******** with this guy named Andrew made a go of it selling clones to people in the mail over the net,his genetics were authentic and so were his spider mites lol.A pollen company run honestly would probably go over great I would think

I have no clue on the legality of such a venture but I'd lean heavily towards it being illegal in the U.S if marketed as cannabis pollen. It wouldnt have to be marketed as cannabis pollen though,it could be marketed as any sort of pollen.Who's to know except the seller and the buyers lol

I was thinking the same thing.

I'd love to buy some great male pollen. Show a bunch of pictures of the stud, then order some. Males are a pain in the ass to keep around, and may not equal some top notch stud that someone else has kept. It's not like the female equation where WE ALL look out for top females. How many of us grow out large numbers of males, looking for that exceptional one? It would be very valuable for me to buy pollen from an absolute winner of a male, one with resin on its balls and fan leaves, with great structure and a tight floral pattern. So far, I don't have any males with resinous balls yet, except for the hermie I have. Lots of trichs on that one.

Yeah, I actually started a thread about this same topic a while back. Could never find the specific legality of pollen.

Pretty much most breeders feel like that'd be taking money from them though. Maybe if there was some small group of non-commercial breeders they could pull it off, but as far as "commercial" breeders offering their pollen for sale, I'm doubting that's gonna happen any time soon.
Would be nice though

Would be nice, how long does it keep for max? I'd get some maybe of some strains, would like to get some Kali mist pollen to cross with a few IBL/landrace strains.

I don't think pollen will keep for very long, so supply will be quite limited. Also variety might be limited also unless a lot of people got involved. With seeds you can stock pile, but pollen I think is a little less forgiving. I could see people placing orders, but then there is the problem of needing it now not later. I guess it could be done, but like I sayed with few variety at first. Just my 2 cents - and I don't think it's even worth that.

I agree Skeletor, would be a great idea and I would definitely purchase - I just wonder about it being a possibility or not? I am in desperate need of some male BB pollen.

i dont think pollen for sale would be a brite idea every1 and thier brother would want to breed and prolly mess up good genitics. from what ive read it takes a breeder min 5yr to stabilize a strain now have pollen for sale and there gose the breeders hard work if the wrong crosses are done. just my 2 pence

This can be said for seeds too. Maybe not 5 years but I see new people try and spend some major $ on some good seeds but don't know the first thing about growing. There will always be idiots trying to get the quick high... or make their own "elite" haha...

I would think pollen would be cool, but hard to ensure quality. I am sure even with the most sealed up factory there would be leaks... accidents would cause all products to be in question.

I'm honestly surprised no one has gone down this road with the pollen sales...I've been thinking about it for awhile, since collecting is easy, storage is easy, and growing males--sadly--is easy :)

Pollen cannot be turned into a plant and has no active THC in it, so it cannot be illegal.

Consider selling it as a flavoring like Saffron, or as a decorative powder.

Moisture is what you have to protect against, and that's not too difficult.

I seriously doubt it would work. People know how to cross their own stuff, your best bet is giving it away.

I know this is a very old thread but...I think the inverse is actually true. Great breeder males are much harder to find than a great fem. Good males are good males and if anything will help improve the genetic pool by introducing better characteristics. Most don't know what to look for in a good male...they just use anything. Seems almost everything is a cross of everything else these days so the genetic pool has become a bit homogenized. The great thing about pollen is it would help preserve some of the clone only stuff for future work and keep good fems going in seed form for peeps to pass around.

But I will agree that breeding is a skilled art and science.
