Reikox's Workshop 2024

Welcome to my workshop. This is the next episode in my series of grow logs ReikoX's Worshop 2017, 2018, 2019, Rebuild 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023. Not a whole lot has changed in the workshop, I still have a 4x4 veg room and a 4x6 flower room. I generally run organic living soil beds in the flower room and Jacks 321 in the veg room for mothers and autoflowers.

A few weeks ago, I noticed thrips damage on my mother plants in the veg room. I cut them back hard and sprayed them with Captain Jack's Dead Bug Brew twice. The thrips are now gone and the plants are now healthy enough to take some cuts for my dad.

I dropped two Red Poison feminized auto seeds by Sweet Seeds in some water on Friday. This morning I put the sprouted seeds into some one gallon pots of coco coir. They are now under my 120W Solstrip fixture.

In the flower room I have some testers sexing in solo cups. I'm not at liberty to discuss the testers at this time, so all you get is a teaser.😛

I finally got around to washing the Chem 91 x Orange Sour Dub buds that were in my freezer. It has been suggested that the 45-73 micron hash is significantly lower yielding of rosin than the 73-120 micron hash. So, this time I decided to add a 73 micron bag. I washed all three plants, separately, four times each. The hash is drying in the beer froster now.

Got some seeds cleaned up and ready for long term storage in theseed fridge. I now have these added to the fridge:

(Chem91 x Orange Sour Dub) x GG4 RIL
Solo's Stash x GG4 RIL
Dominion Diesel x GG4 RIL
Grass Fire OG x (Chem91 x Orange Sour Dub)

I spent most of the day pressing the hash from my last harvest. I separated it into two grades of hash, 45-73 and 73-120. Normally I press the 45-120 all together. In the end, the 73-120 not only produced a visibly better looking rosin, it also produced more rosin per gram of hash. By all stats, the Chem91 x OSD #2 plant produced the most rosin, and will be my keeper plant.

1000004216.jpg

C91 x OSD #1 5.17 grams 73-120 micron

1000004217.jpg

C91 x OSD #1 2.03 grams 45-73 micron

1000004218.jpg

C91 x OSD #2 8.7 grams 73-120 micron

1000004219.jpg

C91 x OSD #2 2.37 grams 45-73 micron

1000004220.jpg

C91 x OSD #5 4.05 grams 73-120 micron

1000004221.jpg

C91 x OSD #5 1.35 grams 45-73 micron

May I ask what micron rosin filters you are using, what temp and how long are you pressing? Looks awsome! Trying to figure this out before I screw up my entire harvest.

I have been trying with 37u dabpress bags. Last few were dark. Started at 130F all the way up to 200F. It was bubble hash from cured material. Not getting what I had hoped for. I am preheating on plates for about 3m and pressing about 3m...

The autos are doing well. I'm a little frustrated with the difference in size. That's one thing about autos, they are rarely uniform even in the same seed line. I feel like this has to do with locking in the recessive auto-flowering trait being the main focus of most breeders.

I took my mother plants and moved them over to my quarantine tent. The timer there is set to 12/12. The plan is to let these flower for about 3 weeks, then pollinate them with some Chem91 x Orange Sour Dub pollen I collected a few months ago. That will give me some F2s and a couple of crosses. Once they are pollinated and the seeds can be seen growing, around six or seven weeks, I will move them back into the veg room to finish off the seeds.

Find something to put under the smaller plant to raise it up to be closer to the bigger plant. Maybe one of your pots upside down seems like it would make up the height difference. 😁
