So last night I chopped the first bed. The quality wasn't there, and the plants had a bunch of nanners on them. Found a few unripened seeds on the lower nodes, a couple were ripe. It could be the dark room louvers, or it could have been the massive iron deficiency.
In the end I had 482 grams wet from the first plant and 347 grams wet from the second. It took me six hours to hand the two plants...
Got the second bed taken care of. Another 382 grams wet from one and 384 grams wet from the other. That gives me a total of 1595 grams wet of the Cherry Tart. I'll wash that into hash/rosin next weekend sometime.
The third bed, ICookies, I just hung to dry.
The JLO F2 autos are starting to ripen up at around 8 weeks. They should be done in a week or two. I'll likely let them go long to ripen up any seeds.
Got everything ready for making some hash. I have water chilling in the cooler, and am loading ice in the washing machine. I layered a bit of ice, a bag of buds, another layer of ice, another bag of buds, and topped with more ice. I then added two gallons of chilled water.
I ran the first run for six minutes, the second run for nine minutes, and a third run for twelve minutes.
I drained each run into the bags. I only used three bags, a 220 micron, a 160 micron, and a 45 micron. The 160 was pretty good, I saved it for edibles. The 160-45 micron will be pressed for rosin.
I used a sprayer with ice water to clean out the green from the hash and gather it for collection.
After collecting the hash, I let it chill in the freezer for a few minutes. I then pushed it through a sieve over the parchment lined trays.
Finally those trays go into the beer froster to "freeze dry".
Thanks for stopping by DM. Yep that sure is flower rosin. I got it moved to some smaller containers for dabbing, but it's not all gone yet. Here is a better look at the color.
Working on a couple projects in the garden this afternoon… First off,, blacking out the window in the workshop.

I got the CO2 system moved over to the flower room. The tank, regulator, and controller are still in the veg room. Now the sensor and CO2 tube run through the wall into the flower room using a pair of those desk grommets offset a couple inches.
The CO2 comes in the flower room and goes up to the top above the lights. From there, it goes into a tee and then loops around the ceiling with perforated tubing. CO2 is heavier than air, so it will rain CO2 down on the plants.
Finally, I got the clones transplanted. There are four Green Crack in the front beds and two Zak Haze in the back bed. I ended up topping the Green Crack so they were a similar hight as the Zak Haze. They were then watered in with Recharge, Mammoth P, and Fish Brew Bold.
Here we have 30.19 grams of 45-159 micron fresh frozen Cherry Tart bubble hash. The beer froster worked great. It’s all ready to be bagged up and pressed.
Single source Cherry Tart hash rosin. Grown and processed by me.
This particular press was 8g of 45u-159u "freeze dried" hash (1st through 3rd pulls), double bagged first in a rosinevolution 25u bag, then a 160u 2"x3" bags. Pressed at 78°C on my DIY press for about 3 minutes between parchment by blacklabelpaperco
The clones I transplanted ten days ago have been slowly transitioned to the brighter lights. They started out at around 50 PPFD on my clone shelf. When I transplanted them they were getting around 150 PPFD with only the 5000K strips on. Last night I bumped that up to around 300 PPFD with both the 5000K and 2700K lights on. They have been getting a feed/water every two days according to my normal schedule.
Got the JLO F2 plants trimmed up. I was worried I wouldn't get too many seeds, but clearly that is not the case. You can see a bunch in the middle plant just trying to burst out of their pods. I'll let them dry even more (they are pretty crispy now) then deseed them and test the flower for CBD.
I've been having low humidity issues (<30%) in the grow room now that the AC is running more. While I was searching for a replacement disk for my ultrasonic humidifier, I noticed that the single disk model I have is rated for a small aquarium or Martha tent (500ml/hr). I decided to upgrade to the five disk model that is rated for a 6'x5' grow room (1900ml/hr). I will move the single disk model into the veg room and control it with a sonoff TH16.
I have culled a couple of my mother plants. I'm down to four varieties right now with a couple extra clones of Zak Haze.
Beds are starting to get some vertical growth going on. They have easily doubled in size since I transplanted the clones two weeks ago. My plan is to wait until they fill the lower screen then flip.
Yesterday I did a bioassay of the JLO F2 plants to test for THC. For this test I did single snaps out of the bong. I haven't done any bong rips in a while. I first tested the runt (5-2) and it had THC in it. An hour later I took a rip of the Juanita dominant (3-8) and it also had THC in it. By the time I got to the last plant (3-3) I was too high to tell. So this evening, I took a rip and it definitely had some THC in it as well.
Tonight I tested for CBD, the Juanita dominant plant tested positive for CBD, the other two had no reaction.
