The purple skunk I work with as far as I am aware is clone only the folks who I got the cutting from twice now told me that any seeds are a outcross of some sort , I know Jorden Used Afghani #1 on the Purple skunk clone to create the god family , The Purple Skunk was called "Jiffy Pot" before it was called "purple skunk" so Jordan might say he used Afghani #1 on Jiffy pot to create the seeds .funny, purple skunk was one of, if not the first seedline Emery sold at Hemp BC...
thought the Skunk#3 came from SamS ? at any rate, bottleneck nightmare or not, just hoping to find a keeper clone that's Godly, but increased overall vigor. whatever Jordan is selling as Godbud seeds, certainly isn't legit, and BCBD I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole ! grew some EIS' purple skunk x dutch treat that was also similar tasting/smelling as god
I inherited a breeding project and a large selection of seeds in 06 these seeds all came indirectly from Sam's seed stock Sam & Eddy and others were all in business together at one point .
The breeder who I took over from left me a number of seeds different skunks including triploid skunk #1 seeds and a number of different haze's etc
The plants I used to create double skunk came from those seeds Marked Skunk #3 they were more of a afghan Skunk selection super skunk type of plant .
I grew a number of "god seeds" from different sources around the same time I bred double Skunk I was looking for Skunky plants for that project , The terpene profile in the Skunk #3 plant is certainly Skunk dom in about 70% of the plants I used 3 males on the purple skunk females and I produced more Skunk #3 seeds .
I should have made a female x female hybrid guarantee the hybrid I was after in Double skunk I certainly have had no complaints about the double skunk actually just people asking for more .
Its interesting how some seeds can be stored for longer periods of time and still germinate ok while other seeds from different strains just don't have a shelf life I am also finding that when I have lower germination rates I am have much much higher ratio's of males in the seeds that are germinating .
I have 3 red congo males a friend in Spain has made congolese s-1's so I have those coming my way it pays to share in most cases !
Mofeta that is correct that is how I knew which seeds of about 8-10 different skunks with years etc to germinate I still have a good selection of beans from that project I have yet to germinate because things came to a abrupt stop .
