Reeferman's strains

funny, purple skunk was one of, if not the first seedline Emery sold at Hemp BC...
thought the Skunk#3 came from SamS ? at any rate, bottleneck nightmare or not, just hoping to find a keeper clone that's Godly, but increased overall vigor. whatever Jordan is selling as Godbud seeds, certainly isn't legit, and BCBD I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole ! grew some EIS' purple skunk x dutch treat that was also similar tasting/smelling as god
The purple skunk I work with as far as I am aware is clone only the folks who I got the cutting from twice now told me that any seeds are a outcross of some sort , I know Jorden Used Afghani #1 on the Purple skunk clone to create the god family , The Purple Skunk was called "Jiffy Pot" before it was called "purple skunk" so Jordan might say he used Afghani #1 on Jiffy pot to create the seeds .
I inherited a breeding project and a large selection of seeds in 06 these seeds all came indirectly from Sam's seed stock Sam & Eddy and others were all in business together at one point .
The breeder who I took over from left me a number of seeds different skunks including triploid skunk #1 seeds and a number of different haze's etc
The plants I used to create double skunk came from those seeds Marked Skunk #3 they were more of a afghan Skunk selection super skunk type of plant .
I grew a number of "god seeds" from different sources around the same time I bred double Skunk I was looking for Skunky plants for that project , The terpene profile in the Skunk #3 plant is certainly Skunk dom in about 70% of the plants I used 3 males on the purple skunk females and I produced more Skunk #3 seeds .
I should have made a female x female hybrid guarantee the hybrid I was after in Double skunk I certainly have had no complaints about the double skunk actually just people asking for more .

Its interesting how some seeds can be stored for longer periods of time and still germinate ok while other seeds from different strains just don't have a shelf life I am also finding that when I have lower germination rates I am have much much higher ratio's of males in the seeds that are germinating .

I have 3 red congo males a friend in Spain has made congolese s-1's so I have those coming my way it pays to share in most cases !
Mofeta that is correct that is how I knew which seeds of about 8-10 different skunks with years etc to germinate I still have a good selection of beans from that project I have yet to germinate because things came to a abrupt stop .

Hello Charles,
Have missed your old site from years ago as I used to visit and post often. Glad you are doing well and believe your health and security are what is most important. No matter what happened years ago you being safe is most important.

On to the Cherry bomb. These two pheno's of cherrybomb are from 2005-2006 seed stock and I could not be more happy with the one that smells just like luden cherry cough drops. It sure is a good pheno. The other is a more indica dominant pheno and did not have the same smell but a much heavier greasy smelling plant.
Thanks again for all your work in the past.
Take care
Pepe

Cherry bomb cough drop pheno (first 2)
Both plants (3)
Indica dominant pheno (4 and 5)

Wow very beautiful Job on those ladies ! I loved Cherry bomb it was entered in my first competition ever with M Emery way back , I found some really outstanding individuals when we were working in S america .
Someday I will dig into those seeds and try to improve the strain in a big way !
Thanks so much for your support

first time I seen a pic of God, was from Vic High. was also a popular cut on the islands, years before it won the cup. way more vigorous then, now she's a slug in veg, barely stretches in flower and makes those annoying, super tiny, green seeds... still smells/tastes great and solid stone. speaking of old TFD stock, I have some 04' Early Durban seeds ;) looking forward to givin' 'em a whirl...

Even back in early 2000's when Vic posted God Bud it sounded like it already had no vigour, he said he would never grow the stuff due to this reason.

def always one of those plants that needed a well established root ball before really moving... also was/is hard to clone. albeit still a flavor favorite ;)

Charles, great to hear you are back. Grew out many of your strains with great success. One of my strains from you has been bugging me for years-Majour Wreck. I can see the Arcata Trainwreck in it, but there is something else in there. Something that bulks up the Arcata vine. There is so little posted on this strain, but it is a great strain. Please, for my sanity, what else is in there?

God bud's pedigree was the issue from the start , taking a leafy inbred woody afghani #1 considered by many to be a rather low quality dog and using it as a parent plant on another Stout indica that appears to be inbred itself was a bad way to go , than inbreed it to "type" despite obvious inbreeding depression eventually it will turn into the low quality shrub it is today .
Had the breeder maintained f-2's he could have at least done a sibling BX even if he did not have the Purple skunk clone to offer some diversity into the line he could also make a out =cross like god bud x anything and than bx'ed to the inbred god bud line to get some growth back into the strain.
Don't get me wrong at one time god produced some very nice flowers its just too bad it was not managed better but thanks to some nice folks on the west side of Vancouver Island we still have Purple skunk .

They were recently hit with pollen from afghani #1 by accident so hope the blend turns out something. Maybe back breed that cherry cough drop pheno to a 4xbx to square. Also have a friend with some cherry diesal or something with a cherry filling smell. Wanted to see what they can produce. Thinking of calling her 2 timing cherry.

Hey Reef, back in 09 I had also gotten a pack of your Mendo Purps. Any info on this one. Was it the Purps clone backcrossed to something? What was on the fathers side of the cross?

Good to have you back Charles.

Any chance you could tell us about your Lebanese? Is it related to any of the other Lebs that are around - Leb 27 or Blue Hemp's Leb? Is there a chance that you will make it available again in the future if you still have it?

I'd also love to hear about the Highland Nepalese. That, the Leb, and your DAS are the only strains of yours that I missed out on and would love to have.

All the best,
ng

Reef I may have missed it but do you have any plans to work on more seed projects in the future?

You had some interesting genetics.

Hi Reef

Hey could you tell us about these:

Hazy: When you first released these the catalog said they were Viet Black x Punta Rojo. I seem to remember you later saying Hazy was Accidental Haze x Burmese. Were there two different Hazys, or the catalog was wrong or something? Could you set us straight on this please?

Fast Haze: I think you told me this was Accidental x Black Seed maybe? or some other mexican? I can't remember.

Bodhi Sattva: Can you give us a detailed description of this one?

Thanks

Hi there Reef,

I ran your Supreme Hash Plant awhile back and I really loved how it turned out. I'd love to see that available again some day as well as your other hash plant varieties. (you had/have so many!)

In the meantime, would you be at liberty to point out who has real deal hash plant genetics?

I honestly can not recall I am fairly sure it was accidental haze x burmese , its possible that we had 2 incarnations and settled on the best .I really don't recall punta rojo x VB .
