I hope I'm not completely hijacking this thread with my bubble questions.
I got the airstone today, one of the tiny ones. I have the guano in a hose, the molasses and water all in a gallon jug. Now, should I put a hole in the lid or the side of the top or just keep the lid off while bubbling? Right now I have the tube just going through with no lid.

I feed this to my later flowering plants, maybe every other water?
Also, can I use this molasses at other times to help my plants? In veg?
I have heard of putting it in the water you flush with the last two weeks, is this good? and do you bubble that also?

Thanks guys.

lid or no lid...it makes no difference to the tea, its whatever is convenient for you. You can feed teas every watering, every other watering, or whenever you choose. It really depends on how strong you mix it up and how much you dilute it down before you use. Molasses can be used other times as well, but personally, I use it only when I make teas. I saw that you found 3lbs molasses thread...thats a great read isn't it?

The reason we bubble is because the tea is going to be brewing for an extended period of time. Without the oxygen the tea would go anaerobic over time. If you are just mixing up molasses to give to your plants without the tea, there would be no need for the bubbling :)

3MB you know I love you man but I have to disagree with only one thing your stating...
I'm talking about EJ, it's shit and very expensive, it stinks and can unbalance, it's very acidic unless you bubble it, the whole line is like 10 bottled, inshort it is a horrible product.

What? Say it aint so! :chin:

IMHO Willie it is so, the Metanatural line and the AgeOld Organic line are much better
Sorry.

Great thread!! - Questions...

Is there a shelf life for the brewed tea? Can the shelf life be extended by periodically adding air (or is this even necessary)? I'm doing the microgrow thing - 2 plants, where a gallon or 2 of tea would last a real long time - will it go bad, or should I brew small (like 1 qt.) quantities??

Thanks!!
