Hi guys,

Here is a direct link to the authentic and very limited Ancestral Skunk seeds straight from Sam The Skunkman. These seeds are from 1985.

https://www.seedbay.com/product/ancestral-skunk/

These are 100 packs for £55. Germination should average around 10%.

Buy them if you want them, these are very limited and rare seeds.

Yep, I like this and what Maha said.
I can look for the quote later but I think these are actually a 93 reproduction of the 85 seeds, which are in turn a step removed from the late 70s California derived stepping stones.

It might very possible well be. It explains why everybody keeps saying that these are 25 years old. If these beans go back to 1985, then it should be 35 years old. Thanks for sharing.

None the less, these are amongst the most interesting seeds currently for sale.
I have my pack, I received it a week or 2 ago. I ordered mine directly when Skunkman announced he had send in this lot to Seedbay. I belief he has send in this lot to help for the Server Upgrade.

I think any serious collector should get these in his possession. Now the packs are still cheap. But when this 'new' lot is sold out, I bet the prices will skyrocket if anybody wants then original seeds. Or you'll be paying astronomical amounts for repro's through obscure Instagram 'breeders' with only claims to validate their originality. (They are already selling repro's on IG I have been told for x-times the amount of the originals...).

I won't ever sell mine pack or trade it. I might make F2's and/or fem a girl. But I won't ever distance from my original pack.

Well as a fellow holder of some of these seeds I can say I will do my best to make sure no one has to overpay for repros of these seeds.
As of this moment I won’t do anything to take customers from Sam or The seed banks selling these. But once they are off the market and impossible to find the originals then I will gladly share what I can.
Of course like all repros the selections will be limited and not a true open pollination so that will somewhat limit the line but in my opinion any half assed seed conservation run is better than none or even outcrossing it.

Oh and does anyone know of a good place to find an early 90s representation of nl5/haze.
I’ve heard some good things about the early 90s version of this cross and would love to buy a couple packs to run myself.

Karma's A5Haze s1's = NL#5xHazeA
Swami seeds NL#5xHazeC
Mrnice NL#5xHazeC
Sensi NL#5xHazeC

Supposedly Karma will be releasing NL#5xHazeC (from an old Cut) and also (NL#5xHazeA) x (NL#5xHazeC) this year. Maybe Karma can share some info about this

From what I've been told (offline) Sensi's version still holds superior keepers but needs multiple packs to find it. The biggest down side with Sensi is the $$$ per pack, I wouldn't risk it.

The price is simillar to a5 s1 6 fem seeds 80 and nl5 haze sensi 10 seeds 150 but the a5 are all famales and the nl5 haze of sensi are regular
The ñast pack i grow of sensi one big bud of 2015 the 50% have nanners in middle of flower, skunk 1 of 2010 one friend simillar, the nl5 haze i don't know but is much expensive to pay for nanners

Swami maybe exactly what I’m looking for. Those rare but exceptional phenos are what has intrigued me with the early 90s nl5/haze. Back then it was from Sensi and put out many great plants but obviously what sensi has today would almost certainly be much different.

So it sounds like once I can save enough I’ll get a few packs of swamis and go on the hunt for one of those rare plants. I honestly prefer variety in my grows and have no interest in today’s “hyped” strains that are essentially just the same handful of strains with different phenos crossed together. I’d rather grow some old seeds from an unstable line and find something new and different even if it has no bag appeal and/or isn’t the strongest stuff around.

here is comparison of swami´s version and mns version
NL HZ Grow
88 Coots
2010 Mr Nice
Side by Side Comparison

Last Spring, out of curiosity I decided to grow out both lines of the NL5 HZ since i had the seeds. They are from different time periods and releases and wanted to see just what the differences really are. Both different and both good.

General Thoughts
Outdoors they start flowering in first couple of weeks of September. Mr Nice flowered first; both were flowering by Mid September.
Both were just about done by the end of November/first week of December; only had 1 day of rain during the fall to that period
I took the final plants down in the first week of December once it did start to rain.

88 Coots, The Original Hybrid was conceived by Neville S
more broad leafed – This is the F5 version from SOS
Pine, slightly sweet Chocolate like aroma, European box chocolate, chocolate liquor

Smoke is heady and cerebral; Red eyed stone. Reminds us more of good imported sativa like Colombian Red, Mexican and the old chocolate Thai; Sleepy at the end. Dominant sativa characteristics in the effect.

2010 is Mr Nice seeds reworked version on NL5HZ
More sativa like in appearance and flower; structure has more sativa / Columbian influence, less NL.

Astringent citrus-orange citrus, pine, paint thinner; Vanillin, Similar to Punto Rojo. Some skunky undertones leave me wondering if there is any skunk crossed in.

Similar to 88 however more intense in effect; Strong Thai, stupefying.
