i know all about supercropping, and i do it from time to time, but this is different. the outer skin is litterally holding everything together. i have it kinda splinted, and its been this way for a 7 days. its not healing at all and the plant dosnt seem to be recieving its nuts. its also growing very very slowly. what can i do, i dont wana loose this plant even if it means low yields. what do you recomend? are there any trace eliments that aid in healing plants? special foods?

Id foliar feed with some veg nutes and superthrive added to it. spray under leaves especially.

thats a mean split though. looks like u did a decent job mending it. MJ is a hardy plant so it will probably recover.
good luck and let us know how it works out

ill keep things posted for sure. unfortunatly the clone was old, but the other one (same strain) bent really easilly, so i was suprised to say the least when it snapped. hopefully this girl heals.

I'd have to say that the core is separated and chances are really not good that that wound will heal. You might want to make the final arrangements in advance....:badday:

It's possible that the branches below the wound will now grow, so keep her under some 18/6 cfl light and go easy on the ferts until you start getting good growth again.

A tip for bending is always do it when your pots are almost dry and your plants need water. This is when the branches are most flexible. That's prolly why one plant bent easy and this one snapped.

Good luck.

tape it over and apply a mild nutirient soaked piece of cotton to the splint
of course keep up the foliar feeding and take a cut-shit-throw the whole top in a DIY cloner and your good to go

how about this

how about this

what if i cut were shown in the picture. will those shoots start growing rapidly. there is a third out of view in that photo too by the way. or will they be very stunted and not worth my while?

If the part above the cut doesn't make it then those lower shoots will grow just fine. Instead of one main cola you would have a few. This is better for flowering, than the classic shape, as light penetrates down further when the plant is opened up. Leave it under veg lights until it grows large enough to flower again, or big enough to take clones. These plants are tough. You could cut all the branches off and all the node shoots would grow. Don't stress.

that snap looks fine to me, we do it like that and worse allthe time on purpose.. the way we heal them is to wrap cotton soaked in light nutriesnt as stated above, and then we place a small piece of plastic over it to keep harsh light from drying the wound.. these plants can take ALOT, recovery usually takes a week and then you will get a whole bunch of new growth, i personally wouldnt have tried to heal it verticaly as you have, i would have left it at a right angle, well good luck, i hope it goes well for you :) keep us posted..

JFK has it right, use the saran wrap as explained and a callous will form. The Flowem and Illium (sp) appear mostly intact. Don't worry, light up!
