I'd like to move to a non-US country which smiles upon Mary and pursue my dream of cultivating full time, but would prefer somewhere warm. Any suggestions?
In spain if you plant them at home and you have around 5/6 plants you might go unpunish but these ALWAYS depends on what judge you get. So it is not a standard measurement.
As an experienced traveler I can tell you that relocating to any country is difficult. If your plan is to go to another country and cultivate herb there, then you're really gonna have a rough time. Do you care about being in the country legally? What are your plans for a visa or property ownership? Do you speak spanish or any other language? Seriously it's a huge task to put something like this together. I wish you luck and hope that lots of research is done before committing on your journey.
Most of Europe right now has high unemployment; Spain is approaching 20%. What Legaldroman said is quite true; it's not easy to move to a foreign country unless you're extremely wealthy, highly-skilled, or lucky. Some countries are easier / harder, but for the most part if you want to be legal, you need good skills, high income in a desirable field and probably at least a Master's or a PhD. It's not like it used to be.
Best of luck though. BC, Canada would be a good choice.
Belize is right up 'Hurricane Alley'.......so you had better find a place there that can withstand a category 5 Hurricane to grow in.......if you grow out then try not to do it during Hurricane season.....That's the major pitfall...
....besides that there are plenty of good things about the place....
Belize also has vast jungles and farmland on its mainland, you can be deep enough in that hurricanes should not be substantial. I have been researching this myself.
spain..... there you can see plants up in the balconies when you walking down the street... there's a big cannabis culture in spain and they sure like to party!!
but yeah unemployment there right now is reaching almost 20% so it's not a smart option right now, unless you're rich and don't have to depend on gettin a job.
land in cali may be cheap but the market is so oversaturated it became the new gold rush. I dont see how ppl can sleep at night charging cancer victims ridiculous sums of money for a plant that costs little to produce.
The entire economy of cannabis has always been contingent on the fact that is illegal. So the $60 for a eighth actually reflects the risk taken in procuring it rather than producing it.
But when you live in a state that is sane enough to allow people to grow, and you still charge like its prohibited than thats just wrong in my eyes. How anyone can rippoff a dying man is beyond me.
I see michigan as a great place to move if your considering selling the herb you produce for a living. Your not far off to huge markets in the midwest and eastcoast where the price for herb is actually justified. As moving out of the country to sell weed seems like a nightmare waiting to happen. You really need lots of family if your gonna do it.
come up, way up to Canada eh. Do you like it cold or warm. It is a huge country with many available places to grow.
if you have a qualifying health condition you can be federally licensed what a change from the US

Wrong on so many counts here... Bolded info is absolutely ridiculous.... Bizzaro.
Land is Not cheap.... It is as if you were trying to say the Opposite to what truly is...
Where did you get your information, Partner..? The Price for GOOD (as in better than most ever even seen back East) Medical Indoor herb in Cali is LOW... Price for buds on East Coast EXPENSIVE... Quality iffy.
Many Many Medical Growers are moving AWAY from CA. There are very few jobs, and with the market as it is, Bills are not paid with the donations....
Michigan has to go thru all the same Growing Pains that CA did, regarding regulations... Because they appear to be clueless.... Up to now, nothing has been REALLY decided there.
Canada is a sane country, fer shure.... Always liked you guys... I was raised 20kms from the border.
Cali is still best, within the USA, but bettah be prepared to live a VERY guarded and BORING life in rural areas, and need to protect your shizzle BIG TIME.. As in: No visitors, until properly vetted. People are getting desperate, and Meth/Crank is BIg - thus thievery is also high..... Watch out this Summer.....
