Rapid Yellowing - Day 35 Flower

My two headband girls hit a wall real hard, discovered it on Tuesday morning.
I had been working 20 hour days so I didn't get a chance to pay close attention to them over the weekend.
Fan leaves (but not bud leaves) are yellowing rapidly and curling up from the edges.
I flushed them out in the bathtub last night and the pH was very high initially 7+.
Topped them off with some tap water ph'd down to about 5.8 to get it under control.
Tonight I just gave them a little bit of water with 1teaspoon/gal of Grow Big just in case it IS a N def.
They are on day 35 of flower.
Pictures below the questionnaire, any help greatly appreciated!

My Hindu Skunk girl in the same environment with the same soil/nutes/feeding is doing absolutely fine.

How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? *Knowing the brand is very helpful* 2 tablespoons FFBB, 1 teaspoon FFTB, 1 teaspoon CalMag
How often are you feeding? Every other watering
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients? Immediately
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect) Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, CalMag
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used? Unknown
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? Was up to 7+, flushed down to 6ish
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? Drops
How often are you watering? Almost every day, pots get light very quickly
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding? Hour ago, 2tsp Grow Big
What size bulb are you using? 4x2' T5, 4x42w CFL

What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.) ~40CFM
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ? I have an 85CFM axial pulling through a CAN-2600 and a 6" clip fan inside the tent for circulation. Fans only run when the lights are on
Is the fan blowing directly at plants? No, on the side of the tent
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? No, dries out quickly
Is your water HARD or SOFT? Hard
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? Tap, ph-down'd to 6ish
Are you using water from a water softener? No
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? No
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? No
Are plant's infected with pest's? No

hey man my plants look similar to that. I am doing bagseed and they are on like day 47ish. I have been told my plants were basicly root bound and thats why the def is showing. I potted up two days ago. Nothing really yet but it has not gotten worse. My plants yellowed over several days. Yours was rapid right? I dont know really just putting my two cents in. Good luck.

TC

By the way my thread is down just a little ways check it out maybe similar.

26 inches tall in 1.5 gallon pots, been there their whole lives. I would guess that they may be a little cramped for space, the general rule of thumb is usually 1 gallon per foot, but it's hard to say considering your lighting, they may be ok. It's something to consider, I can't say much though, I've got a couple right now that have roots coming through the bottoms of their 5 gallon buckets, they seem to be fine for now though. I am not familar w/ your nutes, so I really don't know if they are just maybe using up all their Nitrogen or not. Someone else will probably come through and give you some good advice, I am just mentioning what jumps out at me, but I am fairly new and don't know too much, take what I say w/ a grain of salt.

Problem number one. You need to know this!

What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? Drops

Digital Pens are the only accurate solution.

What is the distance to the canopy? 10"

Move your lights up a bit.

ater are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? Tap, ph-down'd to 6ish

EEEEKKK!!! Tap water is bull shit. RO only in my opinion. Especially considering you are not using a digital pen for PPM. Who knows what your PH or PPM even really is. Spend the money on a hana combo or something similar, you will make your money up in this round alone.

Relax all,the yellowing of the leaves is normal during flowering. The yellowing is a nitrogen deficiency. Let the plant drain out all the nitrogen. Nitrogen promotes leafy growth,it is higher levels of p+k you want the plant to have. Day 35 is a good start for that to occur. Especially when it comes to indica and
indica dom plants. As the plant`s buds mature it will shake off the really damaged leaves. You will find that really damaged leaves will come right off.
Check your buds and you will notice they are still developing. As leaves become more and more damaged you can take them out and it will open up more light to buds.

I wouldn't stress but you are watering every day because the plants are cramped for space. Lot of root mass in those smaller pots.

In order to prevent excessive yellowing of the leaves some people on the forum suggest to give VEG nutes during the first two weeks of FLO.

Cruzin: Saving up for a PPM pen right now, should have one by next week.
I thought 10" was pretty far for T5/flouro but I will raise them up again
tonight.

IE2KS_KUSH & Phillthy: This is my first time running headband so I did my best
to guess how much they were going to stretch, I
flipped around 10-12" so next time I'll know better. Do
you think it's worth transplanting still?

Thanks for all the feedback so far!

Picked up a TD/PH/PPM pen w/fluids this afternoon.
Will put those numbers up when the lights come on.

PH is not so crucial in soil in my experience.

Your main problems are the small pots, probably not enough nitrogen in the nute mix (they should start yellowing closer to day 50ish) If you flushed them, that's another reason, so they are underfed and skinnier than they could be.

Yellowing is by no means a problem, but yours are yellowing too soon, bitches are hungry and pulling from the leaves. You need 5 gallon pots at least, and water every couple days, not every day. PH is not such an issue in soil grows, heck I never check PH when watering soil and never had issues as long as everything else is ok.

Too late for a transplant, hey will be fine, just won't be as big as they could get...look tastey!

I just chopped my deep chunk x sc bluesky at day 35 in dwc and it had like no fans left and was prety ripe, btw said strain yields crap, but it could taste ok

Moldy Dreads:

I picked up the pen mostly to get a sense of PPM. Thinking small pots is definitely the major factor here.
I flushed yesterday and plan to feed tonight so I guess my plan is just to try and keep them as happy as I can in these smaller pots.

That's awesome! Trichs were cloudy that early? Or did you have to pull it because it had a problem?

I'll second small amounts of veg nutes. I have a few stocky hash plants that do very poorly without extra nitrogen. None of the other girls seem to need any, but if I don't give them enough they tend to look like sad little buds on sticks from the amount of leaf drop and yield is very poor.

I second the "its normal". I grow in soil, have for 10 years, dont do dro. And use FF nutes. Same shit as you....and just like hempluvr said.its normal. ALL my plants do that about 4-5 weeks into flower.
Advice on FF: feed every OTHER watering, and use the lower suggested dose.
Your good man!

I spotted your problem immedietly. First off the yellowing is in fact normal at the end of a plants normal life cycle. This holds mostly true for Indica-dom plants. However one thing stood out at me, and thats the fact that you watered "daily" because your pots got very "light" in weight. This is the problem for sure. You watered often, therefore using up all of your Nitrogen quickly. Once the leafs started to die, they easily were attacked possibly by cold air mold. Even if its only a 10 degree drop. I suggest no change in temperature. I like to keep it at 80 degrees 24/0.
