ITS GREAT till you have to turn on the wipers which wipe it off. but op is correct, apply twice. let harden each time. perfect.
except i just use my hand to apply it and rub it all around. definitely helps if you clean the w/s first too. i think it would be great to charge 5 or $10 and stand under an overpass to apply it to peoples windshields, instead of begging for money or just squirting Windex on peoples windows. you would have to tell them to park under the overpass and turn on their defroster. it would have to be pouring so you would have to have raingear on. no? i live in wash. so it could work.

rain x also makes wipers. i use it and it works great

I never heard of it, but I know it now. I'm using it come spring. If I tried to apply it now, it would freeze.

After seeing this thread I got some and love it. I put it on every few weeks.
it's winter in northern mn & my wiper motor is busted but I got a real fresh double coating of rain-x on my screen. I've been in a true sleet storm as the double wet nasty stuff comes down and that sleet just rolled off my window fast, regular snow and rain run off too. As long as the windshield gets good and hot it activates Rain-X coating enabling sleet and snow to just slip off the screen as intended.
