like him or not, and i personally did not like the allegations of child abuse and such therefore didnt like him, Michael Jackson passing today is a sad moment for fans of his music and to the world. he may have allegedly done bad things to children, and i dont think you give someone $20 million for not touching them. but we must respect the fact that he managed to cross so many cultures with his philanthropic ventures such as we are the world, and achieve such fame, before there was tiger woods, before there was Barack Obama, there was Michael Jackson. but speaking as someone who grew up with him always in the limelight, be it the Jackson 5, The Jackson 5 cartoon, his attempt at acting, or his solo career, i must say i feel a sense of loss of just a bit more of my childhood today. i can honestly say the memories of the thriller album were at a time when i was in adolescence so some of my first kisses, gropes, bad touches, and other earthmoving teen "achievements" were with billie jean or some other song from that album playing in the background, funny the soundtrack of ones life. so if nothing else, thanks for the memories Michael.

Not a M. Jackson fan... but may he rest in peace. He meant a lot to most of the people that grew on his music and lived when his music was in the tops. Nobody is perfect.. and everybody gets paid somehow in life or after it..
