i've been smoking a pack a day for over ten years and can definitely feel the repercussions of inhaling these sticks of toxicity. i quit many times however, i always wind up buying another pack, any tips or suggestions out there from some of you who have already kicked this gorilla of a habit?
jahseed you need to decide that you wont put a cigarette in your mouth ever again. make a deadline, like when you wake up tomorrow you wont do it anymore. its a simple resolve, its a phsyical act you just decide you will never do again, and its simple. brainwashing. good luck, worked for me. not much craving or anything, and approx 12 yrs i smoked over a pack a day most of those yrs(and not light cigarettes either...!).
thanx hashmaster, very inspiring, i think i'll set a realistic deadline right now. i'm sure it wont be easy, but as you suggest, it's mind over matter. by the way, is that a gigantic alligator in your pic or is it some type of dinosaur, i'm stoned right now and it's tripping me out.
Sadly my battle still GROWS,I was great for 3 weeks on the patch and then i slipped and at the moment i picked em up again Amazing how bad you can beat up youself inside,I feel like shit,I WILL QUIT,i must keep on fighting,Tommorow back on the patch Man when O'H does the friggin math and ya realize he's rite mite as well just throw my fuckin money out the window What a terrible strong addiction this is,o too go back 28 yrs and LISTEN to momma.
We fall down ... we get up ... we keep going ....I like to feel that each day I wake up my mind is like a clean chalk board .... sleep is like a big erasure.... Get up tomorrow with a clean chalk board and get right on track. Good luck!!
Nam Myoho Renge Kyo is the chant for all purposes.
Try it and see its power like the roar of the lion...
Congratulations to those who find the strength to quit the poison and for those still handcuffed know that you have my sympathy.
There may be a new pill or patch coming that actually blocks the nicotine receptors and in testing 53% have quit in 7 weeks. There is still hope for all. BOG
