Question on outdoor auto's

I am curious about autoflowers outdoors. I know nothing about them in general. Would it be possible to buy a pack of say, Sour60, pop them and find a male + female. Now make some seeds so I can have a large stock for outdoor growing? They are pretty pricey for a 10 pack and I need dozens. Is there a more efficient way to do this? There will still be males to deal with..

Yeh spot on with your thinking bud. I'd allow yourself 10 weeks to grow them and make seeds for an outdoor run...

If you make seeds the regular way, yes you will have males to deal with..

but that needn't be too troublesome, it depends how you go about your grow..

you could A) start them off indoors until they sex.. then plant the girls outside.. this is what i would do personally, but it depends on your climate.. plant numbers.. etc etc

or b) plant them outdoors... go back after 3 or 4 weeks and cull the males in your spots.

Or C) do a feminised seedrun..

food for thought anyway

I start mine indoors in Rapid Rooters under a 175 watt MH light, then plant into 5" square by 5 1/2" deep pots. These are big enough for the first 3 weeks or so until they sex. The females then get transplanted to bigger pots. Any males I want to keep stay in the 5" pots under the MH for another 2 weeks or so until I can harvest the pollen. If you don't have a light the same technique will work. Just put the plants outdoors once the Rooters are planted into the pots.
