question on electrical discreetion

i was wondering for security reasons, how easy it is for leo to figure out your growing in a house in a suburb neighborhood just by looking at the electric bill? ill be running 4 1k lights 12 hours a day, and 1 400 w 24hrs for veg, is this going to stand out, or could it blend in??

In America your power bill is not enough grounds for a warrant. But can be used in conjunction with other things. Rule of thumb I had always heard was 1k watts per bedroom in the house. But that included fans and everything. I know people that get a way with more, but who knows how long.

I think it's better to concentrate on being a decent, "normal" neighbor. It's the houses with blacked out windows, no daylight activity and unending visitors at 3am that draw attention.

I am hoping not.

If you have a digital meter, and you run all 4000 at once, then it wouldnt be that hard to see the pattern. If possible, I would try to flip flop it.

But I run 9k in flowering plus another 1200 in veg so I am counting on the fact nobody is looking at my bill.

I think you should ease into the 4k pattern. Start with 400w 7/24 and maybe 1k for the first 2 billing cycles. Then start to increase your use. A 200-300% increase spike would be more to worry about than total 4k usage over 6m0nth increase. 4k is a pretty good hit in one month

well it would be like 400w for a month for veg, then 1400 watts 24/7 the next month, then 2400w the 3rd month, thats just the lights, with the fans it would be around 200-400 watts more for the months, because the lights are on a flip flop, so its 4ks running 2k splits
