question for sam the skunkman on the original haze

That the seeds from Sam are grey has to do with the timing you harvest them.Later harvest will give darker seeds with Tiger print.I even had white seeds which were hard enough not sqeez them to pulp with your fingers and plants grew out of it.

The seeds in the picture are fully matured seeds, they are grayish because all the Perianth has been rubbed off as I use mechanical seed processing equipment, such as a rotary brush cleaner, sifters, air blowers/cleaners, it does make them look not as pretty but the germination rate is almost 100% and the seeds were not removed from plants in less than 12 weeks after pollination.
As I sold seeds in quantity for less than .10 € I did everything I could to keep production costs low. That did not include harvesting immature seed, I know Cannabis seeds and what is best to produce the highest quality seeds that have longer viability than almost anyone. Also some varieties have lighter seeds regardless of Perianth, and some varieties have very dark seeds regardless of Perianth. I like the look of dark seeds but some varieties just will not make them, I remember a Yunnan plant I had that gave huge seeds but they were whitish even though the seeds were fully matured and had high % of germination and viability they did not look nice, I just eliminated any mothers that did this, from my breeding program for Yunnan.

if your a sativa fan the sk hazes were better than the nl5 haze it was clear back then to ,its no rocket science sk more sativa than nl ,the nl5 haze made a bigger impact in general tho imo as many liked the body aspect to it , there was also no nev vs sam narratives back then no one cared then and they dont care now lol

I can enjoy neville´s hz as same as skunkhaze. no problem for me but original haze is much more inspirational than any of these wld hybrids for me.. there is also very apparent difference in this thread between those who are smoking divine inspiration and those who are smoking 50% hybrid of it.. this thread is about original haze, so let ignore those who never grew it or are not able to grow it because of lacking skills.. they would like to get us down, as they cant get so high like us. poor jealousy.. I smoke original haze and am so high, that hardly cant see these little angry frustrated creatures

Most of the seeds aren't immature on the photo, but good enough for replanting a new adventure.

First time i read haze seed was grey was from a post from shanti at Cannabis world 20 years ago then when i got my NH i looked and there they were grey and grey with black spotted seed.

I have never seen grey seed apart from Haze.

I thought my question was valid .

First seeds from my own harvest Bluehemp Nepali.Let them always as long as possible in the plant.Haze starts later to flower of course, but you don't want your seeds be frozen in the plant before harvest.

Nevil did give out some cuts...which of those survive I dont know...as ther was also seeds.....some of the earlier cuts were selected for flowering..eg selling flowers to coffee shops...some cuts were from the proccess of progeny testing and selection...the final breeding cuts were different.....who knows whats what now...only nevil himself would of known...karma says his guy had 5 seprate selected a5 cuts originally...nevil said he only held 2 final a5 cuts as his breeding cuts

I'm no scientist either Hempy, but I do have an understanding about how plants grow and it's a pretty outrageous claim to say you can grow a cannabis plant (or any plant for that matter) hydroponically without giving it any food for 7+ weeks. Perhaps there are other haze growers here that can attest to that, but I've just never heard that anywhere and I, like you, am a big cannabis nerd so I'd imagine with a claim like that you'd have some sort of examples or evidence. I guess whatever works for you works cause that early haze does look quite nice.

Not sure about hydro...but ive had similar experiences to hempy but using soil...I have found that some sativas once flowering dont like no feed..or can only be fed pk...

Yeah, the fan leaves turn yellow and shrivel up, but the buds are fine. And I end up with Colombian gold. Remember that when you stop feeding, nutrients still remain in the Hempy bucket, and even after many flushes the dissolved solids concentration that drains out of the Hempy bucket will remain significantly above the TDS of your feed water.

Second, people who talk about quality, potency and effect of cannabis in terms of THC percentage don't know what they are talking about.

Amen. I’m older than most on here, and probably with least amount of experience but...seems selecting for chemotypes by lab testing has gotten us further away from weed that takes you to special places. Psychedelic, euphoria, “legs”, etc. don’t seem to show a clear link to analytical results.

That's quite interesting, I didn't realize that about hempy buckets, so that makes a lot more sense to me now. That's the great thing about this site, you learn new things all the time.

I think I recognize the ohz your uncle is speaking of...sounds like the clone possi originally held....nevil used to hold 2 phenos of the Neville's that I know of...one was the more bulky budded more gold pheno....had the stone to it as well as high..very rushy...the other one looked like rust coloured browny type crap..very sticky..not really what you could call buds...looked more like hempys thai when finished..only more resin an stickyness to it...had no body to it at all....overdoing that was not a good thing...it would twist ones head up....nice to hear about your uncles experinces tho...sounds like a guy who knows what he's on about.

Nice TDS, have been searchng 2/3 of my life an answer on what the Coffeesop OH of the 90s had been. It got sold in Amsterdam but also in the South of the NL and so potent it must have been a selected cut, and possi cut would make sense. So you are meaning that it was the famous Haze #19?

I did find A5 and the cup winner NH had very similar effects. A5 being only more introspective, NH more electric. Buth both did share the same very long lasting stone. A5 for me more potent and less electric. The other more sativa NH is probably what often got sold under different names. Better than all the rest. There was also another cut around. Called A2, sold on the black market. Gold/rusty color, HazeA terps and bulkier than A5. Do you think this was one of the A5 cuts? Had much more HazeA terps than HPH. Incensier than C5 or mex Haze, only to give 2 exemples.

2 weeks til winter solstice...Buds are more mature at the bottom of the plant.I cut a tiny branch today to chech trichomes.Seems most are milky.

I dont have high hopes for the main tops to become real buds...But I won't mind to use tweezers if I haven't grown it to hay (fingers crossed amount of light is enough for her too cook all her cannabinoids).Will get some lower branches to try though!

She could certainly finish with more sun here at 37 N ,ideally from clone..I gave her her last meal yesterday(already had decreased),I think I'm gonna let her go just on tap water from now on.
