question for sam the skunkman on the original haze

It is really not so complicated bigherb. Sam did not coin the phrase haze, though he supplied the majority of the genetics. Haze is everything from pure colombian to a 4 way hybrid and i reckon we owe it all of it, to him. Folk all have their preference and you are trapped in the dowtown detroit ghetto lumbo land. To be honest the purple Hazes were maybe stronger but not as clear or as up and high. I liked the lime greens with maybe a bit of Thai blood. I do remember a med dark purp Haze that tasted just like root beer, amazing. I also had a Kerala that tasted just like Vics Metholated it was Camphor for sure, strong as hell but not as clear as I like.
I grew mex seeds from a bag of weed in 1965.

I read that Original Haze was a 3 way pure columbian. You posted that the Haze Bros seed you released was this pure 3 way and that they tried to add Thai, Mex possibly Kerala Indian later but it did not create better results.

I want to know if the versions of OHaze which was released was pure 3 way columbian or if their were other landraces involved?

Ha Bigherb for the record i like Sam i respect him as i did Nevil and a few others i may not agree with Sam on some things but i never agreed with every thing Nevil said ether.

I wouldn't expect a person that has never grown pure Colombians or pure Thais to see these genetics being expressed in Haze but people that have know.

Thanks, that is F1Grail crossed with a 5hz hybrid. Real Seedbank 5hz is really good you would be surprised, no other hazes I ever tried really tasted like my hazes, or had that over top high like haze. I had some ssh in amsterdam once that was ok, an NH cut I grew out was decent, but like a shadow of my 5hazes, however the Grail Seed I got from Nevil was outrageous, first stuff I tried that reminded me of my haze but had probably a 18+ week budding cycle, I had to take it at 16 weeks to make room and it still blew my mind

Nevils Haze.


The HazeC is what made these super crystally huge trichome almost chocked buds , also found in SSH ( nl5hzC x skhzC ) and nl5xhazeC ( like Hazenacious ). For me the Nev Haze was more trippier and psychedelic and electric compared to the haziest SSH or nl5haze, though . And the nl5hazeC / SSH were a bit monotonic in their smell , piney/lemon/floral/woody/catpiss ( and sometimes the nl5hz would be fake cherry sweet like non hazey phenos ). While NH had a much more oriental indian spicey peppery sandalwood multidimensional smell. I always believed the SSH , nl5hazeC to be much better commercial plants than any Nevils Haze. The SSH/nl5haze is not as electric/panic attack weed, even the 13wk SSH plants. It seems that effect/quality would come mainly from the hzA

Hi,leet that smells you get from NH(While NH had a much more oriental indian spicey peppery sandalwood multidimensional smell.)
I found out on my last selection of Jack Herer from Sensi 2016/17 stock my best pheno most haze 93 days have the same smell you said and most have that kind with lemon notes.
So probably that Haze A have something comon to JH of Sensi.
Your smell 100% describes my cut of JH.



Here is the picture.
Nothing sweet nothing lemon just dry eucaliptus leaf(notes of smell musky-metalic-pine) wet pepper and little bit of wild flowers.

And that is on point what you say I also growed SSH and Mango HZ from Mr nice.
The most phenos I get are Mango or Orange like smells with added spice.
Few were very sweat like candy or lemony (skunk and NL's)
And few were like cammomile(cat piss at begining after long cure it start smell like cammomile flowers) and sage the most Haze phenos.
Pepper is very rear in them.

While high is strong on them also and uplifted it is never racy or strong up rush like Jack Herer.
And from Jack Herer after first toke im so damn high that you need to stop toking that first hit really you feel in your head.
Most of people need to stop on half of joint cuz they have feeling it will smoke them to much.

The NL5 cut had huge trichs too. At least the cut that was sold under that name in the Coffeeshops all over the country in the 90s.

Johnny C, What are your thoughts on seedlings and young plants that show trichomes very early? Do you think that for a plant to be really powerful it should have trichs super early? Or do the ones that put on the resin late could still be outstanding?
I always just put in the time and let em all grow out but seeing your resinous seedling makes me question my methods.
