It was a simple and important question about tolerance build up on OHaze, as your post i have quoted yesterday seemed like you discredit the Ohaze as a weak smoke which has no effect after a few Days anymore. Your words were "To me it is inferior to Nevilles selection." And as you're a new member with just a few posts you seemed like some kind of a troll which we saw a lot lately.
I do have Seedsman and Gollie OHaze Seeds from MadMac directly, and for sure i'll grow them. Nothing wrong to ask questions, thats what this forum is for.
Nev Haze should be better than Ohaze... Thats the point of breeding, and selecting... Its just the next generation... That doesnt mean the son gets all the credit, he still got it from his dad. Got it from ya momma etc

I first smoked what i believe was Haze for the first time in the late 70s and again threw the 80s the real Mullum madness was like smoking the best Haze as was the old Mango Heads and the tripping weed we got here and that dated back to at lest 76 if not further back.
All the Haze seed that was offered in Holland commercially all need selection not all were good that includes Nevil's Sam's Toms positronics all that sold haze seed.
Tom and others Talk about the 1% to 3% is what you need to find and going by the smoke reports i read in here many have not found them yet.
I have and there is nothing social about a strong haze high let me tell you and a strong haze will fuck you up. You get 2 main types of highs in the 1% to 3% is what i found.
One is what i call a Thai type very acid like high tripy it builds and builds and like a trip it peeks backs off and comes at you again and again and just when you think its over it comes at you even harder best way to describe it is a roller coaster ride.
The second is what i call the Colombian very intense strong high with a small touch of stone this high hits like a hammer and then backs off a little any old school Colombian lover would love this.

I once had a Zamaldelica cut that matches your descriptionof the thai high.
Still have some cob, great smoke, even after three years.

Double serrations you can still find. But more frequent in Sam's Thunk or Todds Haze.
And for the tolerance I am a heavy medical user and do not build up tolerance at all when I have few phenos and 100% sativa Haze hybrids to chose from. Every day is a new day. They will even get stronger with the cure. And you will need a break from time to time if you use almost only that kind of speedy clear stuff as medicine.
Then it's also a matter of selection (or luck).
And really nice to see some positivity around the haze

Did shanti say that was hazeC or someone else....nevil was showed it an said maybe...nevils haze had double serations...tods does. alot of the 90's haze did...obviously you could find odd phenos that didnt....I like to look at little things in the plants....an question why those little things happen....could be a certain male or female sam has used thats causing that...could be other selections people have done...I have tried later seedsman haze an it does behave different ...even has the sandalwood tones that most haze dont but nevils lines....anyway I don't mean it disresppectfuly...its good to look at things an question things...it can help you work out why things are happening ...an give you clues in wat direction to go in further generations.
By the way mac beautiful smcg....looks very haze like.

I don't know if i would use the word "better", stronger not always means better, but my experience with Nevilles Haze is limited, the one i've smoked was a one hit and quit weed, too damn strong in not a good way. I think the Original Haze uncrossed has a much cleaner feeling good high, that's what im looking for. But i think my most favorite strain has a connection to Nevilles work, Utopia Haze. Think Utopia Haze contains C5 Haze and gives the UH it's special effect. (Baloon on a String Head High, big grin, everything sounds and looks better in the most comfortable way, feets feeling light and i had to laugh about my own thoughts. Also it has a Citrusy Pine Smell and taste, hefty yield in the big long flowering phenos. Also i haven't found a nanner in the 30 Plants i grew when i remember right. Original Haze is know as a pretty sexual stable line i heard.

ive had some super strong weed , but they are not really something i would reach for often or call my favorite ,,
an example would be you can get some overproof booze , but does everyone drink that because its stronger? its certainly not better just because its potent ....
and i agree that some seem to forget in order for potency to occur , the parent had to have had those traits , so of course it indicates with nh that the haze was very potent in the first place , or the sibling could not have similar traits ...
im also with you on wanting a slightly smoother ride ,
the super laos i had a while back wasnt a 0-60 in 2 seconds flat , it gently got me where i wanted to be , and let me down gently also ,
i still got to the desired height , but without burnout and the things that come with that ,, much more pleasant and something i would reach for regularly , very social stuff and good for all occasions , ,still quite potent but much more enjoyable ...
^^ A crappy comedown will stop me from smoking a strain at this point in life. The Nanan Bouclou was too dirty at the end but quite like acid in the first part. I am not smoking it again unless I find a better pheno.
The wave thing, trying to remember a strain where that occurred. C99 at a higher dose might have done that. I had some not long ago but not sure what it was.
