Question .. Can cannabis pollinate a non cannabis plant or vice versa?

just had a read of the above hemp-hop thing and it says that the us government experimented with grafting and found that hemp grafted to hops failed whereas hop onto hemp succeeded ...they found that the hop leaves contained as much drug as leaves from a hemp plant .. it goes on to explain the graft which was the most successful ..interesting book ..

i've read somewhere else that it was a flawed result, no stealth hop-cannabis for us

Yes graft it's possible,but months ago i've found a seedbank (if i remember from germany) that sell only hop-cannabis hybrid,that's why i say you can pollinate.....
This hybrids was like sensi seeds frisian duck.....
So it was fake.....

It involves studying the biochemistry of the pollen molecule and the biochemistry of the receptors.

'biochemistry' sounds fancy, what I mean is, detailed 3D structure -

That's a human protein. Maybe I can find a good 3D image of the Cannabis pollen.

In any case, the pollen molecule has to hit "all the right places". The receptor pistil compounds are composed of molecules that are sort of like a big 3D sculpture of molecules looking for mating molecules. So solving it is a little like solving a humongous puzzle.

My guess is, some plant pollen is similar enough that it can sort of have sex with the pistil. Maybe the pistil enjoys it.

But all of the electrical voltage potential details of a molecule, and the other details, are not in the right place. The pistil/ brach 'sub-assembly' does not get the DNA it needs. No seed starts growing.
