question about topping

i am veging my g-13 crosses still and i am wondering im just about at the 7th set of leaves on each of them and about week 3 of veg...should i wait to determine sex to top or can i just top them all now and determine sex later...i have made a new grow cab its 6'3''tall 2'deep and 2'wide..im going to use sugestions from previous threads i posted and only going to grow one large plant under my 250 watt...hense why i want to top i want to maximize yield.using a 5 gallon bucket for good root space.so what do you guys think?

you can top it if you want...you can always determen sex later, and if you veg it longer ,you'll have 2 main shoots......but 2 optimise yields i would do a SCROG under that 250...i think it will yield you more then just topping it

yeah i really want to scrog but i cant because my flowering chamber is serparate from my veg so i cant scrog it.......plus my flower chamber is very tall i heard scrog is for short plants.i veg under a big shop light and i transfer to the flower box.....any thoughts?im aiming for about a 5foot10inch height of plant for my finsih height .

go ahead and top the sucker man, what you could do is top it a couple of nodes down from the top and then put that cutting into your flower chamber to determine sex....

You can top them babies now and determine sex later. If you feel they dont show sex "never", you just take clone´s and mark em´ and put them babies in flowering. Then at last they gonna reveal themself´s!!!

When it come´s to maximizing your yield, I suggest you grow 3 bonsai tree´s under your 250 W hps -> that´s the Herbalistic´s way

forgetting im trying to get a monster girl here not a short one, im trying to figure out how to get the most out of a tall one like 5' somthing....any guestimations on possible yield on that under a 250w with a lumatek. or how to increase it Im all ears??

From my glossary:

FIM or fimmed - Stands for 'Fuck, I missed'. Refers to attempting to cut the growth shoot of a plant so that it grows into multiple branches instead of one. The phrase comes from how easy it is to miss the tiny growth shoot.

Most people have separate veg & flowering chamber.. You can basically make these iron support´s (what ever material come´s your mind) and hang the scrog from them to make mobile & personal scrog for your every plant. This is very quick job, witnessed with own eyes.

You can also scrog big plants, but take notice that you are running 250 W of light, so if you wanna maximize your yeilds you grow only one big plant, which can be in shorter form also (with same or better succes) or two three bonzai plants.

I am doing little experimation/comparison which technique yields best.

Generally, I prefer the untopped versions more. Were it just pinching or bending & bondaging -> that´s the way for Herbalistic!!!

with a 250 id try to scrog it. You mention wanting to grow a 5 foot treee, well, your 250 wont penetrate very well and thats why people say scrog with the lower wattage lights.

yeah iknow but i was told that after i had already finished my box i built ant its 6' tall and 2' by 2' so im screwed...can i scrog a tall plant?????so there is no way unless i get a bigger light.??

if you have adequate ventilation, yes. A 400 can penetrate a good 25-30" of budding.
