btw, those slabs (the bags too) have a kickass layer of compressed fibre on the bottoms for drainage.. very low EC... no need for hydroton... I give it two thumbs up!

nice idea but it's not so easy. i have used canna coco slabs for many years and i can tell you that the ec and ph change batch for batch. it used to be terrible in the beginning. but now it's always insde a certain parameter. canna coco is between 0.8 and 1.4 nowadays as for the ph thats usually from around 6.0 to 7.0

with my way of running the coco i check the run off ec only when i have run the pump long enough to have the medium totally saturated and the water gushing back out at the same speed as it's pumped in. or close to it anyway. you'll find it works just as well as the complicated way.

Ya there mix is awesome.. BUKU air .. I filled one up with 1 gallon like the label instructed and let it sit for a month because I wasn't ready to use it... it had not dried out yet and didn't compact:/ holds water and air like a diaper heh.
