Pyrex Bake A Round in stores?

Does anyone know of a dept store that sells the pyrex bake a rounds that we can use for DIY cooltubes? Been to walmart...they don't have them. I know you can purchase on ebay but i don't feel like waiting for shipping, etc. Much obliged to anyone who can send me in the right direction!

I'm not from that area..so?

....but any shop that caters to the wannabe chefs (every large shopping mall I've ever been to has at least one...and the higher end "main street" shops for the rich/snobs

Well, just got back from the outlet mall......no luck. Unless anybody in SoCal knows a specific place, I'm gonna have to go the ebay route.

at walmart they have "hurricane globes" in the candle and oil burning candle section, used one for a couple of years no problems. don't get it wet with the light on, it's not tempered. if not i can send u a bake a round.

Theyare all over ebay about 5 bucks. I dont think the bake arounds are even made any more.I I think they were discontinued in the mid 90's.So finding an actual bake around other then ebay would be tough.

The bake arounds are long gone. Pyrex does not sell or manufacture them anymore. E-bay all the way.

Tx Journeyman. That might explain why I never see the bake a rounds when I'm in a section with plenty of other Pyrex items. I've seen plenty on ebay as well...just didn't want to deal with shipping costs & wait time.

Pyrex cool tubes are pretty easy to build. It's basically just metal strapping, duct clamps and aluminum tape. Here's a link I used to build mine, greenthumb420 explains how, but unfortunately it doesn't show pictures any longer. It should be fairly easy to figure out just by looking at it.
