pyrethrum bomb experience please

The no pest strips really do work. I just get like 4 of them in a10x10 space. Turn off all ventilation at lights out. Do that for about 3-5 days. You can put them in a ziploc bag and save them but they're cheap@home depo

your talking about those little mini tube outfits where you just pull out the long sticky part that kinda just dangles there right ?

Love it! ('Cause if you do it in flower it tastes NASTY!)

1-5ml/gal of Azamax or Azatrol in the res or in a soil/medium drench, day one of flower. Gives you that extra step of protection for the first 30 days.

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

I was wondering if pyrethroids change taste/aroma if applied in flowering, and judging by your post they definitely do :) Can you expand on the "NASTY" taste, how can pyrethroids be recognized?

I'm not talking about the sticky traps, these give off fumes or vapor or something. Supposed to be pretty toxic. Don't stray around them too long. Danger for pets

As Megayields ALWAYS gives solid advice, I would like to add something...

The Doc Doom bombs are .01% pyryth, MANY other pyryth bombs are .10% pyryth, 10 times as strong. Look at the label before you buy the bomb. I personally like the small white cans, but they are $28 a can here...

I will check my local HydroWhore house Krunch for the white cans, the MAIN reason I use Doc Bombs , their dirt cheap (I'm scotch irish and cheap as they come) AND the nursury literally at the end of my street has them so its a 3 min round trip to get them when I use them..ONLY BETWEEN ROUNDS of course never when flowers are running.

I discovered di-chlorvos. Also known as no-pest strips. Hang and walk away with faster, more complete results than bug bombs. No residue either. Think about this when something floats in the air it goes down to the ground. It does not float up very much.
Some don't like how its toxic but it decomposes when exposed to water so it only lasts on the plant for a few days. I feel comfortable using up to 2 weeks before harvest. I am no chemo-phobe though, I have no fear of chemicals when used properly.

A cheap co2 generator can be made from sugar and yeast if you don't have one so you can do this cheap.

I agree pip
NPSs are hi on my list as a means of pest control for the
last 2 years,
very effective, no residuals and very safe to use.
I concentrate the gas for better effeciency.

in my 8x8 room i can hang 6-8 on the plants at lights out and they have done the job 12 hours later.
in an open use situation a very light means of air circulation distributes the gas throughout the plants.
if you don't want to do that many in the room, use 3-4 and tent your plants with some cheap plastice like the kind you get at the exit doors at lowes or put the plants in a smaller room.
as long as you can concentrate the gas you'll be better off and get the job done faster.
i use a spare small 4x5 bathroom to veg in, 3 in there will kill in 12hrs usually.
I remember finding mites on my 4" clones, put 3 NPS on each end of the shelf and 1 in the middle set amid the clones.
2 hrs later i could literally see mites trying to move away from the NPS, 6 hrs later 1/2 weren't moving and the rest were sluggish, next morning it was a beutifull site to see
a mite massacre

save the package they came in and use tape to seal it , a regular baggy will breath and they lose their potentecy, the NPS uses a differnet type of plastic and its plied with a heavy gauge foil.
Ive had NPSs for over a year using them like this and they are still potent. they are made to be used for 3-4 months so if your only exposing them to air for a day evry couple months you can imagine how long they'll last if stored properly
you can use them in bloom with no problems.

btw pip, tell us more or a link to your sugar yeast Co2 generator

sugar and yeast is how to make moonshine its called a "sugar wash" and co2 is a byproduct except for this purpose its what you want. google has 54 million results for "sugar wash"

If you use a sugar wash co2 generator wait for the unit to start bubbling before sealing the room, it may take a few days. Also do not drink the alcohol, its utterly discusting. distill it if you really want to save it but unless distilled and mixed or used for a solvent it isn't worth much. It is safe to drink just really nasty.
